Loki Season 2 Episode 3 Recap

Renslayer walks out of the Time Door in 1868 at the Sacred Timeline in Chicago, Illinois. She meets Miss Minutes there and tells her to put a package in the window of some house. That’s where Renslayer will meet someone important. Miss Minutes tells Renslayer that all of this was that person’s plan, and he didn’t do it himself because he’s dead.

Once the man is back where he belongs, Miss Minutes and Renslayer will be by his side. Renslayer throws the package from the window, which a young boy receives. The package has the TVA handbook. That young boy is the young He Who Remains. At the TVA, OB tells everyone the Loom is still in danger as the branches Dox pruned are growing back. If they don’t scale the Loom’s capacity to handle all the branches, they all will die.

They all need to find Miss Minutes to control everything. Loki and Mobius arrive in Chicago, where they get a hit on Renslayer’s TemPad. They jump to the year 1893 to find Miss Minutes. There’s a fair going on, where they suddenly hear a boy selling a newspaper which mentions a ghost clock haunting them all. A show called Temporal Marvels is happening at the fair, which Victor Timely will host. The show’s name catches their attention.

Loki and Marvel attend the show, and Renslayer is also present there with Miss Minutes inside a bag. The duo spot Renslayer but remain hidden. The show begins, and the stage looks like TVA’s Loom. A man performs on the stage who says, “Time is everything”. He says how it shapes everything and everyone and what will happen if they shape it. Loki tells Mobius that the man on the stage is He Who Remains.

Loki tells Mobius that this is the variant He Who Remains warned him about, and he’s dangerous. The man, identified as Victor, tells them what happens in the Temporal Loom. On stage, he says that he aims to light and power the entire planet. Mobius tells Loki that they have to get him to the TVA so that his aura can give them access to the Loom. Renslayer meets Victor after the performance and tells him she must talk to him.

Suddenly, someone takes her aside, and a man from the audience tells Victor he wants to partner with him. Another man asks for his Temporal Loom. Victor decided to bid on the Loom, and one of them won and got the Loom 1000 dollars. Renslayer follows Victor, and Loki and Mobius follow the duo. It’s a chaos. We learn that Victor has been fooling people with his inventions. Whoever bought his equipment tried to get hold of him.

B-15 connects with Mobius to tell him Casey found a weird reading on the TemPad. Loki and Mobius are surrounded by something dangerous very nearby. Sylvie also arrives there and fights with Loki to get hold of Victor. Loki tells Sylvie that they need him to save the TVA. If they fail to get him back, there won’t be any life left. Mobius asks Renslayer what she has been doing, but she refuses to answer.

Loki and Sylvie get into an argument. She attacks them, and they fall to the ground. Miss Minutes emerges from the bag and grows big to scare off everyone. Renslayer helps Victor get out of there. Victor takes Renslayer to his place and shows her all his inventions. Miss Minutes is present there, too. Renslayer tells him everything about TVA and how the Lokis killed him. We can sense some sexual tension between Victor and Ravonna Renslayer.

They tell Victor he must return to the TVA to save the Loom. Victor informs them that Loki said the same thing at the fair and asks why they aren’t working together. Renslayer tells him Loki helped his other variant to kill him, and he can’t be trusted as he keeps switching sides. There’s a knock on the door, and Victor tells them it’s time to leave. They must go to his lab across the lake to get his belongings.

Victor, Renslayer and Miss Minutes take a ship to travel to the lake. Renslayer asks what’s his latest work that’s so important. He informs that it’s the key to understanding and manipulating time. It contains all his designs and shows her the TVA guidebook delivered to him as a child. He figures out that it was Renslayer who brought the book to him. Miss Minutes seems jealous seeing Victor giving all the attention to Renslayer.

Victor says he thinks of the book as the correspondence between himself and visionary author Ouroboros. He shows her the Throughput Multiplier, the most important discovery he ever made. It could help the TVA with the Loom. Victor makes a paper flower and gives it to Renslayer. However, when Renslayer says she has high hopes for their partnership, it bothers Victor, and Miss Minutes notices the same. As the night passes, Miss Minutes and Victor throw Renslayer out of the ship on a boat because she said “partnership”.

Miss Minutes and Victor arrive at his lab, where he takes important things he will need. Miss Minutes tells Victor they should not go to the TVA and lay low for a while as they’ve caused quite a ruckus outside. Miss Minutes tells Victor she was worried he wouldn’t come with her and liked Ravonna instead. Victor asks if there’s a sketch of hers in her journal, and he says it’s not there yet. He’ll get to it soon.

Miss Minutes tells Victor she was just a simple AI before he created her. But he knew she was more than that and gave her the autonomy to write her program. Miss Minutes can have wants and whims and become whoever she wants. Miss Minutes tells him that she was always by his side after every war, the TVA, and more. But there was one whim he never allowed her to have – to have a real body. Victor hesitates and says that that wasn’t him. Miss Minutes tells him they could lead together if she had a body.

Loki Season 2 Episode 3 Ending Explained: Who Does Victor Timely Join Hands With?

Miss Minutes tells Victor that he never even tried to do anything for her despite all the power and knowledge he had. He only kept her as his thing, a computer/toy. She tells him she could’ve been his girlfriend. As Miss Minutes says this, she tries to get inside a statue. But Victor immediately switches her off using the remote. Renslayer arrives there, and Victor apologises for his behaviour.

Renslayer tells Victor that she was assigned to this mission by He Who Remains, not his Variants. So now she will be the one in charge. Loki and Mobius also arrive there, and Renslayer threatens to kill Victor. Renslayer reminds Mobius of everything she did for the TVA after Mobius tells her how she has lost her way. She tells him she’s the only one who can bring stability to the TVA. Sylvie comes there and attacks them. Victor pleads to Sylvie that he hasn’t done anything wrong. He tells Sylvie that she doesn’t know about him and that he is not the man she thinks he is.

Loki and Mobius take Victor with them and leave Renslayer with Sylvie. Sylvie pushes Renslayer through the Time Door and sends her to the End of Time, where the He Who Remains lies dead in his chair. Renslayer brings Miss Minutes with her. Miss Minutes tells Renslayer that it was foolish of Victor to make an enemy out of someone who knows all his secrets. The clock tells Renslayer that she also knows her secret, which will make her very angry.
