Arthdal Chronicles The Sword of Aramun (아라문의 검: 아스달 연대기) is the newest season of the historical fantasy Kdrama under the same name directed by Kim Kwang-shik. The show brings back the old cast along with many new faces including, Jang Dong-gun, Lee Joon-gi, Shin Sae-kyeong, Kim Ok-bin, Shin Joo-hwan, and Park Hae-joon alongside other cast members.
Arthdal Chronicles season 2 finale is slowly heading our way this weekend and there are no words to show our excitement as the final war begins. This season has brought us the much-awaited continuation of the story of Arthdal which heads 8 years in the future. On one side we have the two leaders Eunseom and Tagon who are here to capture all of Arth; on the other side, we have Tanya and Taealha whose words are enough to shake the lands.
The season is now ending, and with the looks of what happened in Arthdal Chronicles season 2 episode 10, we can expect a huge wave ready to take over Arthdal. This season has already brought us a bunch of surprises, reunions, angering postponements of dates, and amazing twists. However, the story of Arthdal never fails to deliver its best and we are now waiting for the end of this beautiful tale.

Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 Finale: What to Expect?
Episode 10 of the show brought us to a full-blown war ready to break out on the borderland after Tagon mercilessly killed Kanmoreu and planned to have every Ago tribe member burnt in the fire he was ready to set. While Eunseom could not have seen Tagon’s plan for Kanmoreu, he did foresee the condition of the forest and knew of his plan to burn everyone down.

Finally, Eunseom turns the fire on Tagon in a well-planned yet saddening way and finally ends up burning the Arthdal army while protecting his men. While the fight on the border is reaching new heights, the preview for the upcoming weekend is pointing at a war in Arthdal that is finally surfacing.
Eight years is definitely a long time and it’s not just Tagon and Eunseom who have been building their power but also Tanya and Taealha. While one has the voice of God that influences the people with faith and belief, the other has a legacy of the previous high priest who is not ready to give up.
Tough times are soon going to be burning the whole of Arthdal because the Niruha Tanya is ready to prepare the city for Eunseom, no matter what the cost is. But this fight is only just beginning and there is more that will be happening in the story of Arthdal this weekend. So now let us look into what we can expect this upcoming weekend!
The War
First and foremost, we can expect the war to end in Eunseom’s favour not just because he is the protagonist and that is what is supposed to happen, but also because he has shown Tagon his strength to turn tables when needed. He has definitely created a new image of himself after the fire and has proved himself a worthy opponent to those who once looked down upon him. But yes, he is the protagonist and we have been waiting too long for this.
Tanya vs Taealha
While the war on the border sees fire, Arthdal too is burning as two forces collide and wish to take over the city that they call their own. The two women are ready to go all out in this finale and again, the protagonist wins which makes Tanya the real winner. However, the real winner may not always be alive and the writers might just want to hit us with a major death which will leave us with broken hearts. Fingers crossed, hope that doesn’t happen because the real Tanya will definitely be better than a statue of hers.
The New Dynasty
Arthdal is set for a new era and there are three candidates for the king- Eunseom, Saya and Arok. Yes, these three hold the chance to have the crown on their heads and while Eunseom is the obvious choice, a twist in the story can bring the crown to the heads of the other two. Meanwhile, this new dynasty will also see Igutus and Neanthals living together in peace with the Sarams which is why we are looking for the changes that are to come.

Saya
There is no doubt that Saya is meant to survive till the end and get some really amazing power in his hand because of the Ikomahis. While the end will keep him away from the love of his life after he finishes his role of being the mirror, he is probably meant for a bigger role that destiny might bring his way. This is because while Aramun was indeed the founder and God of Arthdal, he was not the king.
Tagon and Taealha
While these two are definitely a pair of villains that we hate for most of the show, their love and chemistry are so beautifully dangerous that they deserve a fandom of their own. However, like most antagonists, they are bound for a not-so-happy ending but I still hope that they somehow find their end together. Additionally, their son Arok may be able to get the crown (it is possible because we never know) so that is a partial win for them.
Eunseom and Tanya
Finally, we come to the main couple who have our hearts right from the start. Eunseom and Tanya are the protagonists who deserve the win, but what comes after could be history repeating itself. While the ending of the ruling Arthdal is quite obvious, I would also like to think of a possibility that they make their way back to Iark and live a peaceful life that they definitely deserve.
Bonus: Kanmoreu
Yes, I am aware that Kanmoreu is probably dead but there is still an undying hope in my heart that this lovely horse is still alive and ready to run through the wind on the land on Arth. The probability of this happening would be that Eunseom has hidden the real Kanmoreu and the one who was killed was a fake he brought because Tagon is just that untrustworthy.
Altogether, these are the expectations that we have from the season finale. Now, here’s when the final episodes of the show are set to release.
