Arthdal Chronicles The Sword of Aramun (아라문의 검: 아스달 연대기) is the newest season of the historical fantasy Kdrama under the same name directed by Kim Kwang-shik. The show brings back the old cast along with many new faces including, Jang Dong-gun, Lee Joon-gi, Shin Sae-kyeong, Kim Ok-bin, Shin Joo-hwan, and Park Hae-joon alongside other cast members.

Arthdal Chronicles season 2 brings us to eight years after the very first season and now a much-awaited war is soon to arrive. While Ta Gon and Eun Seom prepare for a battle to bring in a new dynasty, political wars continue behind the scenes as rebellion, bloodshed and revenge await in the dark. Who will become the ruler of Arthdal and what does the new dynasty behold?

Arthdal Chronicles season 2 takes over tvN’s Saturday-Sunday 9:20 PM KST time slot previously occupied by The Uncanny Counter 2.

tvN’s synopsis of the show reads: “The myth of Arthdal, written by the master of the sword, begins now! The fateful story of Ta Gon, Eun Seom, Tanya, and Tae Al Ha, who write different legends in the ancient land of Arth.”

Tanya prepares to wreak havoc with her forces and prepare Arthdal for Eunseom while Taealha is ready to defend the city with all her might. While the two may have had to shake hands in the past, they are now two forces who are ready to fight for their benefit. As Taealha creates her forces to fight the now fake Asa Sin, will Tanya be able to come out of this predicament?

Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 Episode 10 Recap

Episode 10 brings Tagon’s frustration and obsession to another level as he sees the horse Kanmoreu who rejects him and proves Saya’s words right. Eunseom orders a retreat, but Tachukan and another soldier are caught. Elsewhere, Nunbyeol and Chaeeun find out that Rottip is looking for answers about the Igutus who followed Saya and has gone to meet Shahati who has a deep connection with the Neanthals.

On the other hand, Saya wakes up and finds out what is happening in Arthdal while Taealha once again stops a maid to get news from the battlefield. Tanya too is ready with her plan as she continues to spread pictures of Aramun’s life story but with a few changes. Elsewhere, Yeonbal arrives to meet Eunseom and warns him that they have blocked the waterways and have surrounded the Ago people.

However, Tagon has called him for negotiations which can save their lives. Eunseom arrives the next day to find out that Tagon will release the Ago soldiers in his capture as well as give them a way to escape in exchange for Kanmoreu and Suhana. Later, Eunseom finds out that this is Tagon’s plan to get rid of them all at once by lighting a fire around them in the name of escape.

Eunseom then comes up with a plan to start a fire behind the Arthdal army in the direction of the wind and trap them in their own plan. Men are sent on the mission for the same and the next day, the negotiation begins. Meanwhile, Taealha manages to escape confinement but does not leave the city when she sees the drawings being spread by Tanya.

Tanya is ready to wreak havoc in the city during Tagon and Taealha’s absence. Back to the Ago forest, Tagon first asks for Kanmoreu in exchange for Tachukan but then kills the horse right in front of Eunseom. He does not let go of Suhana and the other Ago soldier and tells Eunseom to not trust his enemies.

He then heads to work on his plan while Eunseom realises that the mission might have failed. He decides to start the fire himself and despite defiance, he heads out with Mirusol and Tachukan. He then arrives at the scene to see Tae Maja struggling while everyone else is dead. He jumps into the fight but Gitoha makes sure to stop them every time.

Finally, Tae Maja lights the fire while on his last breath and the flames rise around the Arthdal army. Eunseom then rushes out while the flames strike fear within the enemy soldiers. Tagon realises what has happened and tries to control his army but fails while Ipsaeng sees the smoke which raises the morale of the Ago soldiers.

Soon, the flames surround Tagon and a whirlwind of fire appears in front of him.
