As he tears up and hopes that his mother is safe, Taealha assures him and tells him that she will not die before pulling out the odourless poison Bichwisan from her sleeve which she drops when Mungtae tries to take it. Tagon picks up the bottle and identifies the poison before heading out and tells her that he will not kill Arok’s mother.

Meanwhile, Tanya receives news of what happened and tells Yangcha to go to Eunseom with her message, while Taealha’s maidservants succeed in escaping imprisonment. Back in the palace, Saya arrives before Tagon who gives two options- either kill himself using the Bichwisan or use the iron sword in front of him to kill Tanya.

Saya picks the poison without hesitation and warns Tagon about the real Aramun while telling him to remember his face as this is the face of the one who will kill him, with this he takes his last breath. As he finally falls to his death, Tagon orders for his body to be thrown in the woods for the wild beasts to feed upon.

After conquering the Molabeol fort, the word of preparing iron swords begins in the Ago tribe which finally brings Eunseom to focus on dealing with Suhana. He confronts her and finds her free of any remorse as she accepts that she has been a spy for Tagon for 30 years. He then orders for her to be thrown in prison with tears in his eyes.

Back in Arthdal, Tagon informs Tanya about Saya’s death and tells her that he will soon get rid of her, build a statue for her and make God’s voice his own. As he prepares for the Inaishingi who has advanced to Arthdal’s forefront, for Yangcha, he will make sure to tear him limb from limb in front of Tanya.

Tagon then informs his commanders and ministers that he will now enter the battlefield and lead the army to victory against the Ago tribe. Meanwhile, Karat is intrigued by the Ago tribe’s preparations for war and while he wishes to join, he refuses Eunseom’s offer to be a part of this war as Momo tribe members receive the blessing to go to the world of light after having repaid their debt.

Eunseom respects their tradition but wonders if a life without a goal is something that he would really want. Elsewhere, Taealha gets news about what happened after her arrest from a maid who brought her food. She hands over her earrings and scented pouch in exchange for news before passing on a task to the servant.

However, this servant passes on the note to Gilseon who takes it to Tagon, who then orders Gilseon to capture the aides of Taealha. Meanwhile, Tanya has her own plans ready as she calls for Moa to work out her plan as she believes that Saya is still alive. Before heading out, Tagon finally realises that Gilseon has been tricked by Taealha who has prepared a trap for him.

Meanwhile, Taealha’s servant Hae Yeobi finds the servant carrying Taealha’s pouch and understands what she wants. She then heads over to find Saya’s body while this message is passed to Tanya through the network she created with Moa.
