There is also Andy Cohen as himself, Tavi Gevinson as Cora and Zachary Quinto as presenter.

American Horror Story Delicate is based on Danielle Valentine’s book Delicate Condition. The series is created by AHS’ very own Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. 20th Century Fox Television produces it for FX on Hulu.

American Horror Story Delicate Episode 4 Review

The fourth episode of American Horror Story Delicate starts with a resonating theme that its predecessor titled American Horror Story Coven had set. Taking us back to the Hampton Court of 1555, we witness the birth of the child by Mary I of England; popularly known as ‘Bloody Mary’. We also get to see her sister, the ‘Virgin Queen’, Elizabeth I. With the careful stanic play on the titles assigned to these ladies of European history, we get introduced to two important characters and the concept of trading babies for ‘something’.

As we come back to our present storyline, all the focus is on Anna and her phantom pregnancy syndrome. She insists on visiting Dr. Hill and it is soon confirmed that Anna might be pregnant- through an ultrasound revealing a heartbeat. Dr. Hill concludes that Anna might have been carrying twins, which cannot be known until after 12 weeks of pregnancy and that she has lost only one of her children.

With happiness, joy and caution, Anna proceeds with her life. Her professional life is in rescue mode by Siobhan and the crisis PR team- Ashley and Ashleigh, who we meet at a strange time previously in the episode revealing that they might have hidden intentions of helping Anna out. Siobhan too seems like a tricky character at this point and far from being Anna’s friend.

American Horror Story Delicate Episode 4 weaves its tale around Anna’s public image being restored, her pregnancy also being restored and the weirdest, chillest pregnancy cravings coming to the surface. The episode focuses mostly on the demonic or satanic prevalence in the storyline. In fact, we even have Dex’s mother come in with a satanic abuse done on her by Dex’s father. The dual nature of most of the characters, including Anna is slowly coming out making us not rely on anybody which is fun because what is horror if not a bunch of unreliable characters coming together, right?

American Horror Story Delicate Episode 4: Final Thoughts

Overall, the fourth episode of American Horror Story Delicate is really interesting. The show has started to tie things up in some sense and we get an idea of where all the strange incidents are stemming from. Emma Roberts’ acting skills shine in this particular episode as the Scream Queen seems to own every scene.
