Di4ries Season 2 Part 1 Ending Explained: The Italian teen comedy-drama series stars Andrea Arru as Pietro, Flavia Leone as Livia, Biagio Venditti as Daniele, Sofia Nicolini as Isabel, Federica Franzellitti as Monica, Francesca La Cava as Arianna, Pietro Sparvoli as Mirko, and Fiorenza Tessari as Teacher. Joining this stellar lineup are the new additions: Fiammetta Parente as Bianca, Emily Shaqiri as Katia, Gabriele Taurisano as Roby, Martina Frosini as Sara, and Edoardo Giorgio Calamici as Luca. At Galileo School, students find themselves studying in Marina Grande for their last year of middle school. They dislike it just as much as their counterparts. Over the summer, several changes occur: Isabel and Michele break up, Livia changes her hair colour, and Giulio and Arianna’s relationship becomes strained. Giulio wants to end things, but Arianna beats him to it, feeling the same way. They remain friends and support each other throughout the story.

Livia is distant from Pietro, though they maintain polite communication. Isabel encourages him not to give up on his feelings. Pietro and his friends are uncomfortable with Livia’s new companions, Katia and Sara. Katia, the daughter of Pietro’s father’s girlfriend after the divorce, complicates their relationship further. Katia, Sara, and Livia become close over the summer.

During a class gathering, Katia excludes students from Marina Piccola, leading to a separate event. Later, around a bonfire, they make a pact to remain friends and attend the same high school. This proves challenging as they have different academic interests, making it hard to find a suitable school for everyone. Despite this, they commit to the pact around the bonfire that they will always stay friends and even apply to the same high school.

Why Is Livia Hanging Out With Katia And Sara?

We have seen from season 1 itself that Livia was experiencing an identity crisis. She had always been the good girl, but she was growing tired of that role. Still, she was struggling not to break free from the ‘little miss perfect’ label. However, when she discovered that she was merely an object of a bet, it caused her some serious heartbreak. While she did not despise herself, it is a natural part of growing up to explore and comprehend all that we can become. She befriended Katia and Sara because they were so different from her previous friends.

Around them, she became a different person, and she was trying to gauge how much she enjoyed this alternate version of herself. But Livia was not aware that Katia and Sara were bullies. When she confronted them about the sign at the party, they denied being the ones to put it up. Shockingly, they not only suggested she skip school but even urged her to join them in shoplifting. Though Livia knew deep down it was all wrong, there was something about their company that ignited a spark of excitement she’d never felt before.

It made her feel different, and she wasn’t ready to let go of that just yet. Maybe that’s why she chose to ignore the warnings from her other friends. Then came the day when they were caught red-handed while shoplifting. In a heartbeat, Katia and Sara abandoned her, leaving Pietro to step in and help. That experience shook Livia to her core, and now she’s rightfully angry at her so-called friends. She’s put some distance between them, but it’s hard to say how long that will last.

Did Pietro and Livia Get Back Together?

From the start of the series, we expected that Pietro and Livia would get back together, as they were both deeply in love with each other and would clear up the misunderstanding about the bet. However, the plot twist was unexpected. Pietro, from the start of the season, was trying to ask for forgiveness from Livia and to reunite. Nevertheless, he is hesitant to fully commit, even after Isabel tries to help him. In the meantime, he wants to join the basketball team, but he barely manages it, with some help from Roby, who is interested in Isabel.

Livia is also on the verge of forgiving Pietro for what happened between them and when she tries to do it the first time, she finds Bianca and Pietro kissing, she discovers Bianca and Pietro kissing. However, the confusion is resolved when Bianca explains that she was the one to initiate the kiss and that it had no significance. The timing is then never right again because Livia has been reminded that she cannot trust Pietro.

Isabel even makes a comment on how Livia and she appear to understand Pietro very differently at one point. We believe that since Isabel has witnessed the type of person Pietro is capable of being, she should also find it difficult to trust him.However, after Pietro helps Livia with the shoplifting incident, she grows soft towards him, and she wants to forgive him and give their relationship another chance.

But at the Christmas party, at the end of the series, Giulio and the others announce that they don’t want to follow the Pact of the Bonfire as they all have different dreams. This upsets Pietro, as he sees it as some sort of end to the friendship of the group. Everyone leaves the party upset, and Livia comes back for her bag, which is when she tries to kiss Pietro, but he steps back.

He has already accepted that this is not the Livia he used to like, and he is also confused by his feelings for Isabel, which he has to think about. So, they didn’t get back together but there is still a chance that they might resolve the issue in the next part.
