2023 Asia Content Awards and Global OTT Awards Nominations, Live Streaming and More Details Revealed!

Among the many BIFF 2023 events lined up for this year’s ten-day long festival at the Busan Cinema Center, the upcoming attraction is driving our attention to the 2023 Asia Content Awards and Global OTT Awards Nominations. The Busan International Film Festival 2023 kicked off on October 4, and its opening ceremony has already captured a lot of fanfare among the Hallyu Wave enthusiasts. And with the Award show season in full swing, the next one in association with the ongoing film festival is marked on our calendars in bold.

In addition to Korean nominees, as the name of the Global OTT Awards 2023 ceremony suggests, this event slated to take place on October 8, 2023, will be celebrating the small screen cinematic outputs from numerous international countries. Nominations galore from countries like India, Taiwan, the Philippines, China and more have made it to the list. A total of 17 categories that will be presented with awards include 10 competitive and 7 non-competitive categories. Competitive ones include Best Creative Award, Best Lead Actor/Actress, Best Supporting Actor/Actress, Best Reality and Variety Award, and non-competitive titles include New Technology Award, Special Contribution for K-Contents Award, Lifetime Achievement Award and Rising Star of the Year Award.

So, keep your eyes peeled, because might just spot one of your favourite K-pop stars at the event. Here are some of the important details related to the show that you need to know about before tuning in for the ceremony.

2023 Asia Content Awards and Global OTT Awards Live Streaming

To be held at the BIFF Theatre, Busan Cinema Centre in Busan, South Korea, this year’s award ceremony is scheduled for October 8, and it will be hosted by South Korean actor Kim Kang-woo and the singer, actor, Nancy, who is also a former member of the K-pop girl group Momoland. 2023 is the first year that the separate annual events – Asia Content Awards and the International OTT Festival – have been rebranded under the same banner, thus recognising talents not just from Asia, but the world.

Asia Content Awards and Global OTT Awards 2023 event will be live streamed on BIFF’s official YouTube Channel (@Busanfilmfest) and the LG U+ Mobile TV Channel.

2023 Asia Content Awards and Global OTT Awards Red Carpet and Main Ceremony Timings

The official BIFF website has revealed the timetable for the day’s event. According to that, the Red Carpet event will run from 18:00 ~ 18:30 KST, whereas the main awards ceremony has been scheduled for 18:30 ~ 21:00 KST. (* Subject to change)
