Reptile Ending Explained: Who Killed Summer Elswick and Why?

From the beginning of the movie, you’ll have doubts about one person being the killer. The individual who feigns the most damage and innocence has always turned out to be the killer. However, the shocking revelation is that this time he wasn’t acting alone; his partners in this crime are the police and FBI.

Tom’s senses prickled as he observed Allen and Wally’s altered behaviour, intensifying the disquiet. The atmosphere became much more ominous as Allen announced that a medal would soon be awarded to Tom. But nothing could have prepared Tom for the shock of incredulity he felt when he discovered the elusive Chrysler in Allen’s basement, upending all of his preconceptions.

On the way back home, Judy’s concern was palpable. She turned to Tom, eyes brimming with both curiosity and apprehension and gently implored, ‘Tom, what’s really going on?’ Gathering his courage, Tom unveiled the harrowing truth. Wally and Will Grady were the White Fish, and they were working as partners. Wally plants the drugs, and then the house gets seized. The White Fish then buys them, and Summer was the broker who, on paper, made 70 grand, but she never received any money as she was not aware of it. Later, when she finds out the truth, she wants to report this, which was the reason they killed her.

Judy sat in stunned silence, absorbing the weight of Tom’s revelations. The web of deceit and treachery was far more intricate and sinister than she could have fathomed. They were now ensnared in a perilous reality, from which escape seemed impossible. Tom’s disclosure had not only exposed the truth but also thrust them into a dangerous game where the stakes were unimaginably high.

At the end of the movie, Despite Will’s best attempts to avoid detection and evade capture, his efforts ultimately prove unsuccessful. As we watch the FBI being taken into custody and awoken, Tom’s inquiry is a success.
