Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 Overview

Arthdal Chronicles The Sword of Aramun (아라문의 검: 아스달 연대기) is the newest season of the historical fantasy Kdrama under the same name directed by Kim Kwang-shik. The show brings back the old cast along with many new faces including, Jang Dong-gun, Lee Joon-gi, Shin Sae-kyeong, Kim Ok-bin, Shin Joo-hwan, and Park Hae-joon alongside other cast members.

Arthdal Chronicles season 2 brings us to eight years after the very first season and now a much-awaited war is soon to arrive. While Ta Gon and Eun Seom prepare for a battle to bring in a new dynasty, political wars continue behind the scenes as rebellion, bloodshed and revenge await in the dark. Who will become the ruler of Arthdal and what does the new dynasty behold?

Arthdal Chronicles season 2 takes over tvN’s Saturday-Sunday 9:20 PM KST time slot previously occupied by The Uncanny Counter 2.

tvN’s synopsis of the show reads: “The myth of Arthdal, written by the master of the sword, begins now! The fateful story of Ta Gon, Eun Seom, Tanya, and Tae Al Ha, who write different legends in the ancient land of Arth.”

Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 Episode 4 Predictions

Eunseom’s existence in Arthdal causes waves everywhere as Taealha tries to find out who he really is. Elsewhere, Mungtae tries to kill the friend he once betrayed for the safety of the Wahan people. Meanwhile, Asa Sakan warns Tagon to not believe in anyone as his enemies end up killing his son Arok for revenge.

This blows Tagon’s rage and he goes on a killing rampage and ends up revealing his identity as an Igutu in front of all his men. Will they be able to accept him or berate him like others of his kind?

Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 Episode 3 Recap

Episode 2 brings Eunseom to Arthdal while Mubaek’s subordinates try to bring the truth to Tagon only to be rebuked by their king for leaving their posts. Meanwhile, Taealha fears Saya’s awakening as it will only bring a blade to her neck when Tagon gets a chance to send her away.

On the other hand, the Ago Union is in a tense situation as their Inaishingi has disappeared. Later, Ipsaeng and Dalsae go to Shorjagin who leads the way to the hut where the two brothers had met. However, the hut is burnt and Shorjagin understands that Eunseom has been taken to Arthdal in place of Saya, thus, revealing that they are twins.

The three then plan to go to Arthdal where Eunseom finally regains consciousness and tries to leave the palace. However, hurdles are inevitable but the biggest of them all turns out to be Nunbyeol who almost harms him assuming him to be Saya. Right then, Ipsaeng and Dalsae arrive and reunite with Eunseom while letting Nunbyeol know that her sister is taking care of Saya.

Later, Eunseom meets Dotti and tells the other two that they will leave without meeting anyone from Wahan. However, Mungtae arrives with his troops to escort “Saya” to the council meeting. Eunseom has no choice but to leave when he sees Tanya on the way and loses control of his emotions. He makes her understand who he really is after which he enters the council meeting.

There he tells everyone that he does not remember who attacked him or killed Mubaek and that it must not be the Shahiti children. This saves both him and Taealha from Tagon’s plans. Later, he finally meets Tanya alone and the two share a kiss before talking about what has happened until now.

Suddenly, Taealha’s arrival has Tanya leaving after which she confronts Eunseom about his real identity.
