Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 8 Ending Explained

In the latest episode, Mahito and Geto have something bigger planned at Shibuya. Later at night, they drop a veil that surrounds the entire station. The station is filled with people as it is Halloween, and everyone is dressed in various costumes. The citizens demanded that Gojo make himself appear as the ones who put the shield wants his presence in exchange for the citizen’s freedom.

What happened in Shibuya?

When Gojo stepped inside Shibuya, he noticed that a lot of citizens were trapped inside it. He is instantly welcomed by two of his past enemies that he faced before and a new third one. Jogo, Hanami and Choso stand in front of him and challenge him to a fight. However, they do not make it easy for him as they also include the trapped citizens inside the tracks to slow him down. They were fully aware that Gojo would not unleash all his power as it could also threaten the lives of the citizens. They take that advantage and start attacking him. However, due to his infinity ability, they were not able to touch him.

What is the Prison Realm?

During the last few minutes of the episode, in flashbacks, Jogo can be seen conversing with Geto about how to execute the plan. Then Get tells him to make use of the citizens as Gojo will hesitate to expand his domain and hurt the citizens. However, Geto is fully aware that because of Gojo’s infinity, no one will be able to penetrate it and harm Gojo in any way. So, he asks Jogo to keep Gojo distracted and busy as long as he can. Geto asks them to entrap Gojo for a total of 20 minutes, and by then, he will execute his ultimate plan of unleashing the Prison Realm.

As the name suggests, it might be a cursed object that will be used to entrap Gojo inside it. As it is impossible to defeat the strongest sorcerer alive, the only way to execute the plan is to keep Gojo prisoner inside a realm that is away from sorcerers and humans. However, only in the next episode, will we find out if they are able to carry out their heinous plan successfully.
