Behind Your Touch Episode 10 Recap and Review: The new South Korean thriller rom-com Behind Your Touch (힙하게) directed by Kim Suk-Yoon and written by Lee Nam-Kyu, stars prominent actors like Han Ji-min, Lee Min-ki, EXO’s Suho, Joo Min-kyung, Yang Jae-seong, Park Sung-yeon and others. The series is produced by JTBC, Tving and Netflix.

The series follows the lives of a kind veterinarian and a grumpy detective. Bong Ye-boon (Han Ji-min) is a veterinarian who has psychic abilities. She can see the past of any person or animal when she touches their rear end. On the go, she meets Detective Moon Jang-yeol (Lee Min-ki) and gets intertwined in cases. Jang-yeol is demoted to the rural village Mujin due to being a terrific hothead back in Seoul. To return back to the city, he seeks Ye-boon and starts uncovering various cases. However, their fate changes when Kim Sun-woo (Suho) arrives at Mujin and works at a grocery store. Though he seems kind and polite, he has deadly mysteries behind him.

Han Ji-min was last seen in Our Blues (2022), Lee Min-ki’s previous hit was My Liberation Notes (2022), and Suho’s last ventures were Besties in Wonderland (2022) and Suho Hurdle (Since 2022).

Jang-yeol rushes to Sun-woo’s workshop and spots him walking towards Ye-boon with the knife. When he barges in, he looks at Sun-woo preparing to cut the apple with it. Sun-woo asks Jang-yeol how he found his workshop and the latter gives a reason. Then, when Jang-yeol asks him about what he was doing during the elections, Sun-woo bluntly asks Jang-yeol whether he suspects him as the killer. After an awkward situation, Jang-yeol and Ye-boon leave.

Jang-yeol warns Ye-boon to not trust Sun-woo as he is their primary lead but Ye-boon confirms he is an innocent man. The next day, Ye-boon and Ok-hee have a conversation about the killer. Ok-hee tells that if the unknown psychic is the killer then the reason why he/she has left Ye-boon unharmed is because they will come for Ye-boon’s loved ones first. This makes Ok-hee panic as she might be the next target. Right then, a small kid comes and talks in English.

When the Shaman enters and addresses the small boy as Justin, Ok-hee and Ye-boon learn that he is his child from Australia and that he has come to Korea due to a disagreement with his wife. That day, Jang-yeol calls Gwang-sik and Ye-boon for a meeting and discusses the possible assumptions about the killer. Meanwhile, Jong-mook uncovers something about the previous re-development program scam and the connection Mr. Cha has with it.

Jang-yeol learns about the upcoming prawn festival and makes Gwang-sik and Ye-boon arrange a plan where they can lure in people and read them. Gwang-sik gets an easy way in but since Ye-boon has to touch the people’s backs, she wonders about a plan. Just then when she learns about the Shaman’s fortune booth, she convinces him to set up a fortune booth where she will read people’s past by touching their backs. She also tells the Shaman that she will be inside the booth so that people will not know about her.

The festival day arrives and as they planned, Ok-hee, Gwang-sik, and Ye-boon prepare for their task. Gwang-sik reads the Mujin residents’ memories (those who touched Ye-boon when Ji-suk was murdered) and finds nothing. Meanwhile, at the fortune booth, when Ye-boon touches Jong-mook’s back, she reads a memory of her grandfather giving him the case file. She also touches her aunt’s back and views a memory of her late mother.

When Sun-woo goes to the milk stall to get Justin some milk, Gwang-sik insists he gives a free massage. When he tries to touch Sun-woo’s leg, he instantly stops him with a cold glare. Later, Gwang-sik reads Dok-hee’s memories and finds Sun-woo following Mr. Cha to Mount Mujin which is near to their barn.

Soon Ye-boo checks on Mi-ran and gets another view of Sun-woo behind Mr. Cha giving out pamplets. Meanwhile, Gwang-sik views Ye-boon’s grandfather’s memories and he sees him secretly recording Mr. Cha on the night of the meteor shower. Through their conversation, Gwang-sik learns that Mr. Cha visited his barn to meet his father on the meteor shower night.

Jang-yeol becomes highly confused as he thinks either Sun-woo or Mr. Cha must have been there near Ye-boon and Gwang-sik. To confirm it, Jang-yeol makes Ok-hee trick Mr. Cha and make him read at the fortune booth. Her plan successfully works and Ye-boon starts reading. She looks at a memory of Mr. Cha closing the door of the car her mother is seen sitting unconscious. She recalls the day her mother’s car was found in the ocean and wonders why Mr. Cha stated other reasons when he was near her the previous night before her car drowned.

Ye-boon again reads his memories and sees a vision of him talking to Gwang-sik’s father and convincing him to sell the farm but the old man replies that he will pass it on to Gwang-sik and won’t sell it. Additionally, she finds that the Shaman was also there in the barn that night. Ye-boon tells about it to Jang-yeol and he becomes even more confused as there are three leads.

Finally, Gwang-sik goes and somehow touches the Shaman’s leg and finds a shocking truth. Gwang-sik tells Jang-yeol that Sun-woo is the guy who was standing near the pillar that night. Jang-yeol wonders who the killer could be among the three as they were all in the same place at the same time.

Behind Your Touch Episode 10 Review

This episode was extremely interesting as Sun-woo does seem suspicious. Previously I wondered that he might not be the killer but there are chances that he could be. However, he could also be a good guy trying to find Mr. Cha’s scams and get him the deserving punishment. Is Sun-woo practicing to stab Mr. Cha by trying it on other people? Or is there a completely different killer who is still not in the picture?

Either way, we know Mr. Cha is the big villain and Sun-woo has a personal vengeance on him. Probably he lost his mother to Mr. Cha’s fraudery as well. Ye-boon will start digging into Mr. Cha to find out why he was near her mother the night she died. Jong-mook will also get more information regarding the redevelopment case.

Speaking of humour, this episode was won by Ok-hee and Yong-myeong (Da-eun’s brother). Their witty romance and their shameless singing didn’t fail to impress. When the episode felt like it was becoming too thrilling, these two characters’ scenes brought in the charm. So far the series is doing really good and is such a family entertainer.
