Only Murders in the Building Season 3 Episode 6 Recap and Review

Now that we have enough suspects and leads to pursue, Only Murders in the Building Season 3 Episode 6 drops an uncanny twist in our lap and we are not sure if we are supposed to be thrilled by it or confused. Nonetheless, the emotion that the show is targeting through the current episode is that of horror but, in a funny way.

In Only Murders in the Building Season 3 Episode 6, Howard tells the trio about the ghost story famous in regards to Goosebury Theater. He believes that the ghost of actor Gideon Gooseberry haunts the theatre and therefore he performs a ritual to remove the curse every night- except, of course, the night Ben was to perform on stage. He is sorry but, the trio is confused!

Charles is not on board with the ghost story. Oliver has his suspicions about Loretta but, love has clearly blinded him which is why he is unwilling to reveal anything in regards to that. We also have Tobert enter the scene and Mabel finally revealing her suspicion of Johnathan and this mysterious Doctor C.

The group continues to devise new plans to catch the killer. We have a handwriting checking in point and the ghost sightings are being considered by the trio for further investigation. In Only Murders in the Building Season 3 Episode 6 the group is clearly not working together and it shows. In fact, soon down the line, the three are even on opposite sides.

Meanwhile, the ghost continues to haunt and the suspects’ list gets heavier with time. We are unsure who the killer is but, the episode surely goes to great lengths to find out more about the ghost.

Only Murders in the Building Season 3 Episode 6: Final Thoughts

Only Murders in the Building Season 3 Episode 6 is rather meh. There are a lot of elements being thrown at us. The ghost plotline and the notorious activities are only coming up now, so late in the show and it is not believable at any aspect and is clearly just a way to stall us onto the next episode.

Moreover, the trio is breaking up. They are facing many things but, the togetherness they have shown in the last two seasons is missing in this one and with the sixth episode there is no saving the unit. The individual character developments are surely on point but, the team work and the essence of having three people on one case is missing which gets highlighted the most in this episode.
