Destined With You Episode 5 Preview: The fantasy romance drama series (이 연애는 불가항력) stars Rowoon, Jo Bo-ah, Ha Jun, and Yura in lead roles. The show has been written by Noh Ji-sul and directed by Nam Ki-hoon who previously worked on Oh My Baby (2020) and Kiss Sixth Sense (2022).
The drama revolves around Lee Hong-jo, a civil servant, and an ace lawyer, Jang Shin-yu who end up meeting unexpectedly. After she comes in the procession of an old wooden box with a forbidden book, the connection between the two grows stronger. It is discovered that Shin-yu suffers from a mysterious illness that has run throughout his family for generations and the cure to it is in the hands of Hong-jo. The magical book which may be the cure brings the two closer and a romance brews between them.
Jo Bo-ah returns with this drama after recently starring in Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 as Nam Ji-ah. SF9’s Rowoon was last seen in 2022’s Tomorrow as Choi Joon-woong. Ha Jun previously starred in Missing: The Other Side Season 2 as Shin Joon while Yura’s previous role was in Forecasting Love and Weather as Chae Yoo-jin. New episodes of Destined With You arrive on JTBC on Wednesday-Thursday at 10.30 PM. Previously, the same timeslot was occupied by Miraculous Brothers.

Destined With You Episode 5 Predictions
The fifth episode of the show is expected to showcase Hong-jo and Shin-yu getting closer than ever after realising their destinies are tied. While the duo will try to go against what’s set up for them, it may not work out. The preview showcases Hong-jo trying to get close to Jae-kyung while trying to avoid Shin-yu. There is also a moment teased in the promo where Hong-jo and Shin-yu come close to sharing a kiss. The episode will also showcase Shin-yu continuing to deny his feelings for her while his mind and body continue to fight his affection towards her.
Destined With You Episode 4 Recap
The fourth episode of the show focussed on Shin-yu’s confession towards Hong-jo as he expressed that he likes her. However, it was confirmed that his feelings were a result of him drinking the love potion that was prepared for Jae-kyung. Shin-yu even showcases the CCTV footage to Hong-jo where he is seen drinking the love potion. A shocked Hong-jo is dejected about her love spell getting wasted while Shin-yu then asks her to do anything to undo the same.
Due to the effects of the spell, Shin-yu is unable to let go of the feelings that he has developed for Hong-jo and continues being sweet to her even if his mind doesn’t wish to. He tells her how her actions make his heart flutter. To find a solution to undo the spell that has been cast, the duo then visit shaman Eun-wol, to ask her what can be done although they do not receive the response they are hoping for.
The love spell is strong and has had an effect on Shin-yu but it is not revealed whether the other spell cast by Hong-jo to cure his disease has worked as well. In the meantime, Shin-yu also continues to have strange dreams and this time he realises that the person he has been seeing is the same one from Hong-jo’s phone wallpaper. At the end of the episode, Shin-yu figures out what the shaman told Hong-jo about taking back the spell and learns that their destinies are tied and cannot be severed.
