Disenchantment Season 5: What to Expect in Netflix’s Animated Sitcom? Release Date, Trailer and More

The fifth season of the show is particularly important given that it marks the end of the story and will be the final one. Produced in-house at Netflix, Disenchantment marked Matt Groening’s first animated series since The Simpsons and Futurama. The details about the release date, episodes and plot of the final season have been revealed and here’s all you need to know about the same.

Disenchantment Season 5 Plot

In the fifth and final season of the show, to save Dreamland from Queen Dagmar’s rule, Queen Bean will vanquish her mother and may even outrun the prophecy that foretold her she will kill someone she loves. The last season will witness Bean taking on an epic battle for Dreamland along with her elf companion Elfo and her personal demon Luci. It will present an epic moment for the heroes in the story as they will face Satan an evil scientist and other threats including the most important moment of facing their true destiny.

Disenchantment Season 5 Cast

The voice cast of the fifth season will feature Abbi Jacobson as Bean, Eric André as Luci, John DiMaggio as King Zøg, Nat Faxon as Elfo, Tress MacNeille as Queen Oona and Prince Derek, Maurice LaMarche as Odval, and Sharon Horgan as Queen Dagmar. The cast also includes Richard Ayoade as Alva Gunderson, Billy West as Sorcerio and many of the elves, David Herman as Jerry, Meredith Hagner as Mora, Lucy Montgomery as Bunty, Matt Berry as Prince Merkimer, Noel Fielding as Stan the Executioner, and Phil LaMarr as God.

Disenchantment Season 5 Release Date and Trailer

The show was created by Matt Groening along with showrunner Josh Weinstein. The sitcom’s directing team includes Dwayne Carey-Hill, Peter Avanzino, and Ira Sherak. Also, Patric M. Verrone, Bill Odenkirk, and Jameel Saleem, among others serve as writers for the show. Season 5 of the show is slated to release on September 1, 2023, and will consist of ten episodes. A Trailer for the last season was released on August 2, 2023. The trailer promised that the final season would be an intense one as Bean gears up for her final confrontation with Dagmar. The fact that the fate of Dreamland lies with her is also something that is teased in the trailer.

Four seasons of Disenchantment are currently streaming on Netflix.
