One Piece Ending Explained: The series was released on August 31, 2023, on Netflix. Developed by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda, the series is directed by Marc Jobst. It stars Iñaki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji, Morgan Davies as Koby and others. The cult favourite is written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda, which became the best-selling manga in history.

Produced by Kaji Productions, Tomorrow Studios, and Shueisha, the show is executive-produced by Owens and Oda alongside Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, and Steven Maeda. Sonya Belousova and Giona Ostinelli are the composers, and Nicole Hirsch Whitaker and Michael Wood are the cinematographers. With a total of 8 episodes, each has a runtime of approximately 60 minutes. The show is shot in English but is available in Hindi, Tamil and Telegu dubbed versions.

One Piece Ending Explained

The last episode showcased the origin story of Nami and where she comes from. After Arlong murdered her mother and raided the entire village, she made a promise to buy back the land by any means possible. She started to steal items from pirates and basically anyone she met so that she could save up to 100 million and buy her village back from Arlong. However, Arlong had different intentions all along and sent the officials to raid Nami so that she could not free the village.

Exhausted by Arlong’s exploits, she turns to Luffy and the Straw Hat Crew for help, and they instantly agree to do so. While Zoro, Sanji and Usopp fight Arlong’s army, Luffy alone goes to defeat Arlong.

How did Luffy defeat Arlong?

Luffy enters Arlong’s chambers and challenges him to a fight. However, Arlong is extremely powerful, and Luffy finds it difficult to overpower him physically. However, to defeat him, he applies another method, and it is by destroying every valuable information that he owns about the seas. Luffy destroys the maps that Nami drew, leaving Arlong devastated. Moreover, with the power that Luffy attained after eating the Devil Fruit, he unleashes some sturdy moves that completely destroy him.

Did Garp arrest Luffy?

As the entire crew was celebrating the defeat of Arlong, Garp and his team of Marines came in to arrest Luffy. However, Coby defies the general’s orders as Luffy committed no crimes. Following that, Garp insisted on a dual with Luffy, and it led to hand-to-hand combat. Garp could easily defeat Luffy, but he remained determined about his goals. Watching him be so passionate about his dreams, Garp lets his grandson go and live his life.

Who is the mysterious man hunting for Luffy?

In the last few minutes of the episode, a man is shown holding a Luffy’s bounty poster. The man has two cigars in his hand, and he casually burns the poster. It is evident that the man despises Luffy and wishes to watch him. However, it is unclear about his motives if he has a personal vendetta against Luffy or if he just wants the 30 million reward.

However, from the looks of the character, it can be assumed that the character is none other than Smoker. He is one of the lead antagonists of the series who wants to capture Luffy. The white-haired muscular man is a Marine officer who religiously follows his own code of conduct. Also known as White Hunter, the man is famous for his ruthlessness towards criminals.
