Moving Episode 11 Recap

Ju-won remembers the way the Umji coffee lady drove him back to the hotel and smiles at her thought. Since he doesn’t know her name, he decides to order coffee and meet her. He shaves his beard, cleans his room and calls Umji coffee shop, and orders a coffee. However, another staff comes and joins.

Since these women are also sex workers, they ask Ju-won whether he wants a ticket (a word denoting extra pay for the staff to stay and serve). He rejects all the women who keep coming every day when he orders coffee in hopes of seeing that one particular woman.

Finally, she comes and he has a talk with her. When he asks for a ticket, she tells him to go wash himself but he requests her to only talk. She simply avoids him and tells him that if he doesn’t want the service, then she’ll leave. Ju-won says to her that he kept ordering coffee because he missed her. The woman smiles to herself and leaves.

At Umji coffee shop, she shares about Ju-won with the owner, and the latter states that he indeed is interested romantically in her because he rejected all the other girls every day. This pleases the woman and she thinks about Ju-won. Min-ki sends his people to search for Ju-won as Mr. Min has agreed to clear off their crime records if they can show him.

One day, when the gamblers at the hotel call the Umji coffee woman and assault her, Ju-won gets furious. He breaks their wall and beats the men to a pulp. He clears them off and asks the hotel owner to not do anything silly. Ju-won learns that the coffee woman’s name is Hwang Ji-hee. Later, one of the gamblers escapes and reports about Ju-won to his gangster brother.

All of them gather at the hotel and attack Ju-won. Since he’s extremely strong, he wipes out every one of them. Min-ki sends more men to attack him since Mr. Min is watching the strength of Ju-won. Mr. Min asks the police the lock the neighbourhood to test the limit of Ju-won. Ju-won somehow manages to beat almost 100 men and run away to heal. Ji-hee learns that the bad guys are out to kill Ju-won.

She takes her scooter and saves Ju-won from the gang. During the ride, he tells her that he is a bad guy who has killed people. To ensure that she’s fine with it, Ji-hee makes him hold her waist during the ride. Right then, one of the mafia van crashes the scooter but thankfully, Ju-won saves Ji-hee. He leaves the unconscious Ji-hee on the road and falls down the cliff along with the car.

On the ground, Min-ki comes and triggers him. He decides to shoot him but before that, someone from above kills Min-ki with a gun. We learn that it is the man that Mr. Min sent to witness Ju-won’s strength, who is none other than Doo-sik. Ji-hee gets admitted to the hospital while Ju-won is appointed by the South Korean government to serve as a black op. Doo-sik and Ju-won become good friends at sight and are assigned as partners.

Ji-hee keeps waiting for Ju-won with hopes and he does visit her after getting the new job. Ju-won and Ji-hee smile at each other and fall in love over a cup of coffee.

Moving Episode 11 Review

Hands down to the best episode in the series and in among all the action series I’ve so far seen. From the beginning to the end, the chills it gave can’t be explained. Watching Ju-won save Ji-hee from danger despite getting stabbed a hundred times, even worse getting his hand torn, gave me the adrenaline rush.

The camerawork was insane both inside the hotel as well as on the streets. When the car rammed into Ju-won, he kept beating the men and turned the wheel to save Ji-hee from her narrow death. That tiny escape made me close my mouth in shock because it was fervent. Ryu seung-ryong won the show with his eccentric acting. I have no idea how the stunts were executed so effortlessly and gloriously but kudos to the stunt actors!

Ryu seung-ryong’s fight moves were presented so well and neatly without too much superhero sort of show-off and such. The camera kept turning every moment showing different punches and blows, making those 10 to 15 minutes of battle completely captivating. The chemistry he has with Kwak Sun-young (Ji-hee) was also beautifully shown realistically.

Speaking of Doo-sik and Mi-hyun couple, they both fell in love due to their similar humane nature. When it comes to Ju-won and Ji-hee, both of them are imperfect and have a rough past. They don’t bother about what they’ve done but only look at each other’s struggles. The writer has written their love story wonderfully, making the viewers yearn for more (I personally do).

So far, the series is doing so well and good with a generous amount of action, thriller, romance, and comedy.
