Lakhan Leela Bhargava Episode 2 Recap and Review: Directed by Abhay Chhabra and written by Faiz Ahmad, Pooja G, Gibran Noorani, Saurabh Tewari, and Nayan Rathod, the new Jio series follows the life of a lawyer struggling to get a case and shine. The series stars prominent actors like Ravie Dubey, Akshay Joshi, Ariah Agarwal, Mohit Chauhan, Bhuvnesh Mann, Sonali Sachdev, Sanvikaa and more.

The series is produced by Saurabh Tewari and Parin Multimedia. The director of photography is Suhas Rao and the casting associate is Rudra Aashiwal. The 21-part series airs from August 21, 2023, to October 4, 2023. Every week on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, a new episode will premiere.

Lakhan Leela Bhargava Plot

Lakhan is a skilled lawyer who fails to get cases to work on since he is highly empathetic and has negative talk going around him. Apparently, he is the illegitimate child of a famous lawyer Mohan Shandiliya. Due to this, his half-brother Neeraj Shandiliya is on the rise, and Lakhan is left to face the war in court. When Lakhan gets his first case, he is pulled off his possible victory due to the problems around his name. Will Lakhan fight and show that irrespective of being the famous lawyer’s half-son, he’s still capable of standing alone?

Lakhan drinks and rants about his situation to his friends. He worries about his mother, who has high hopes for him. Right then, his mother comes and joins them. She asks Lakhan to help her client no matter what, leaving him feeling exhausted. When they return home, their neighbour Renuka gives Lakhan’s mother, Leela, some food and says that she is offering it because they won’t be cooking tonight. Leela asks why Renuka thinks they won’t be cooking, to which the woman opens up about Lakhan losing his case.

Inside the home, Lakhan locks himself in the kitchen, afraid of his mother. Leela sweet-talks and makes him open the door, only to hit him. The son and mother duo then have a heartwarming conversation and plan out something. The next day, Sakshi visits Leela cafe and meets Lakhan. She orders a pineapple cake since it is famous there. Lakhan asks what he should write on top of it, to which Sakshi mentions Mohan Shandiliya’s name. Lakhan decides to write something else on it and give the parcel to Sakshi.

At Mohan Shandiliya’s birthday party, Sakshi sees what’s written on the chocolate strip. She immediately eats it before anyone else catches a whiff, and they celebrate the famous lawyer’s birthday happily afterwards. When Mohan tastes the pineapple cake, he remembers Leela’s words and goes to the restroom to catch a breath.

In the police station cell, Leela pretends like a thief and promotes Lakhan to Preeti, the former client. Preeti falls for the drama they put up and decides to take Lakhan as her lawyer again. At the court, Neeraj gets annoyed at the sight of Lakhan and tells the judge that Sakshi will take up the case on behalf of him. Lakhan proves with evidence that the taxi driver was able to pay off all his familial needs with the money he received from the opposition team for false testimony.

However, Sakshi comes with other bank statements proving that the taxi driver’s wife is the one who helped them manage funds by taking loans. The judge shifts the hearing to another week, giving Lakhan some more time to find evidence. As per his guess, he manages to find the proof showing that the taxi driver sold the ring of the thief (the one who also killed the jewellery shop owner). Moreover, he learns that Neeraj’s team has also paid the taxi driver to tell a false story.

Additionally, when Lakhan digs deeper, he learns that the younger brother of the jewellery shop owner is the killer. With all this evidence, Lakhan gets a new story to share in the court.

Lakhan Leela Bhargava Episode 2 Review

The mother-son duo is really beautiful to watch, thanks to Ravie Dubey and Sonali Sachdev. Ravie’s character Lakhan sets an example for the youth on how responsible a son should be even if life throws lemons at them. On the other hand, the character of Leela is the cherry on top of the cake because a bold and brave woman full of love and compassion is indeed what a mother is. Both their combo is massively good, and it’s so much fun to see them bickering.

Lakhan’s friends are also to be appreciated. When Lakhan is at his lowest, they are ready to stick by him and go to any extreme to win the case for him (such friendships are rare).

Episode 2 offered a glimpse into Mohan Shandiliya’s memories of Leela and what happened between them. The more we dive in, we will understand why he decided to let go of Leela.

So far, the series is doing well, with the comedy aspect present generously. Ravie Dubey’s expressions are highly hilarious (of course, because he’s a man of charm). The other actors are doing a great job as well in their respective roles. There aren’t any unnecessary dialogues or obscene scenes, making it a family entertainer, which is a win. Kudos to the team!
