Behind Your Touch Episode 2 Preview: The new South Korean thriller rom-com Behind Your Touch (힙하게) directed by Kim Suk-Yoon and written by Lee Nam-Kyu, stars prominent actors like Han Ji-min, Lee Min-ki, EXO’s Suho, Joo Min-kyung, Yang Jae-seong, Park Sung-yeon and others. The series is produced by JTBC, Tving and Netflix.

The series follows the lives of a kind Veterinarian and a grumpy Detective. Bong Ye-boon (Han Ji-min) is a veterinarian who has psychic abilities. She can see the past of any person or animal when she touches their rear end. On the go, she meets Detective Moon Jang-yeol (Lee Min-ki) and gets intertwined in cases. Jang-yeol is demoted to the rural village Mujin due to being a terrific hothead back in Seoul. To return back to the city, he seeks Ye-boon and starts uncovering various cases. However, their fate changes when Kim Sun-woo (Suho) arrives at Mujin and works at a grocery store. Though he seems kind and polite, he has deadly mysteries behind him.

Han Ji-min was last seen in Our Blues (2022), Lee Min-ki’s previous hit was My Liberation Notes (2022), Suho’s last venture was Besties in Wonderland (2022) and Suho Hurdle (Since 2022).

Netflix describes the series as: “A psychic vet and a detective join forces to crack small-town cases — but their skills are tested when they unravel a chilling serial killer mystery.” Both Moon Jang-yeol and Bong Ye-boon will have to encounter a deadly crime case and unravel the truth while being unaware of the serial killer who is right next to them.

In the second episode, Jang-yeol will be pestering Ye-boon for touching his back as he’s having a negative idea of her. Ye-boon will tell him about her psychic powers which he might at first deny believing. However, she will likely read out his memories to him, and he will believe her. Suho’s character Sun-woo will be introduced. Ye-boon will fall for his personality and start hanging out with him.

Slowly critical cases will start coming up in Mujin causing the detectives to panic. When Jang-yeol tries to handle the cases he will somehow come across Ye-boon. They both will come to a decision and start working on cases together by using each other’s skills. Ye-boon will uncover more powers in her since she previously learned of psychometry while researching her situation. She’ll be able to see the future of a person as well which will help her solve crimes.

Ye-boon’s mother dies in a car accident and she starts living with her grandfather and aunt. When she grows up, she gets into a Vet college and returns to Mujin as a certified Veterinarian. She renames her family clinic as the Bong clinic but sadly it doesn’t run well. Her aunt insists that she check up on livestock and not just pets for it will help with funds.

Meanwhile, Jang-yeol is transferred to Mujin where he learns that the town is crime-free. He believes he will return to Seoul by solving cases in Mujin but his colleagues assure him that it’s impossible in such a calm village. Jang-yeol comes across Ye-boon in an unexpected way when the cops try to save her from a frantic cow.

A scared Ye-boon decides to never go near cows but a client’s request pushes her to give in. When she visits the cow, the meteor shower causes her to get powers. Ye-boon wakes up in her room and learns she’s been asleep for three days. When she touches her cat’s rear she visions its memories. A confused Ye-boon touches her pets’ rears and realises her situation.

She seeks help from her best friend Ok-hee but nothing sits well. She checks whether she can read people’s minds by touching a pickpocket pal on the bus only to get arrested by Jang-yeol. She is let go with a warning. Soon, she comes across Jang-yeol as she learns he is the new tenant at her best friend’s home.

When Jang-yeol slips from the staircase, Ye-boon tries to catch him but ends up touching his back causing her to read his memories. Jang-yeol gets pissed and flips her down believing she’s a pervert. Ye-boon figures that she indeed can view people’s memories.
