Revenant Overview

Revenant (악귀) is a Korean supernatural mystery thriller about a student possessed by a demon, a teacher who can see the devil and an investigator who gets caught in the mess because of the two. Directed by Lee Jung-rim and Kim Jae-hong, the drama stars Kim Tae-ri, Oh Jung-se, Hong Kyung, Yang Hye-ji, Kim Shin-bi, and Jin Seon-kyu, alongside other cast members.

The drama brings the story of the poor student Ku San-young who gets possessed by a demon. She then meets teacher Yeom Hae-sang who possesses the ability to see demons since childhood. He recognises the demon possessing San-young as the one who killed his mother and is now wreaking havoc around her. There is also the investigator Lee Hong-sae who gets caught in the mess by the two.

Kim Tae-ri was last seen in the immensely popular Twenty-Five, Twenty-One in the lead role of Na Hee-do, while Oh Jung-se was last seen in Uncle as Wang Joon-hyuk. Revenant takes over SBS’ Friday-Saturday 22:00 PM KST time slot previously occupied by Dr Romantic season 3.

Revenant Plot

San-young is a normal part-timer who learns about her father’s death, whom she believed has been dead all along. When she meets with her paternal grandmother, she is handed over a cursed object through which an evil Spirit latches on to her. To protect her and get hold of the evil spirit, Professor Hae-sang gets hold of San-young. Together, both of them learn about the evil spirit as well as fulfill certain spirits’ wishes.

Directed by Lee Jung-rim and Kim Jae-hong, the drama stars Kim Tae-ri as San-young, Oh Jung-se as Hae-sang, Hong Kyung as Hong-sae, Yang Hye-ji as Se-mi, Kim Shin-bi as Woo-shin, and Jin Seon-kyu as Gang-mo, Park Ji-Young as Gyeong-mun and other cast members.

The series is set to have a 12-episode runtime and will release two episodes every week (Friday-Saturday) and will run for 60-70 minutes.

Revenant Episode 12 India Release Date and Time

The series will stream from June 23, 2023, to July 29, 2023. Episode 12 of the series will stream on July 29 at 10:00 PM KST.

Revenant Episode 12 Prediction

The finale will explore more on why the evil spirit wanted Hae-sang and San-young to find the cursed objects. Every object has a story attached to it and the final one will be revealed in this episode. Additionally, Lee Hyangi’s wish to live on forever will make her cause more damage to everyone around her.

Mostly, Hae-sang will be in grave danger since it is because of his family her life was ruined. Hence, the spirit might kill Hae-sang and end the Yeom family entirely. Chi-won will manage Junghyeon capital anyways because he isn’t related to the Yeom family by blood. San-young’s mother will recover and will get clarity regarding her daughter’s personality.

Moreover, Hongsae will save San-young from legal issues and stay beside her. There are chances of San-young ending her life to stop the perils as well but if the cursed objects are touched by someone else, a new host will be found for the spirit.

Revenant Episode 11 Recap

In episode 11, San-young acts as if she is possessed and meets Hae-sang’s grandmother and successfully finds the name of the spirit. She then locks herself inside a room protected by the line of distribution. However, the spirit escapes and tries to kill Hongsae and Hae-sang. Thankfully San-young returns back to her place and locks herself. But, the spirit attacks San-young’s mother giving her no choice but to get rid of the protection. After San-young saves her mother, the spirit then leaves to kill Hae-sang’s grandmother.

Meanwhile, Hae-sang and Hongsae find every possible detail about Lee Hyangi and start with the final works. Hae-sang feels that the last object which he found is incomplete. When the duo go to Hae-sang’s estate and find the abandoned spot, they discover a secret passage. Over there, they find the remains of Lee Hyangi.

At the same time, San-young confronts Hae-sang’s grandmother and the viewers are shown a flashback of Lee Hyangi. Choi Manwal apparently chooses Lee Hyangi but she swaps herself with Lee Mokdan to avoid death. When all her family members tragically die, she decides to save her sister only to get sacrificed and get turned into a wicked juvenile ghost.

Back to the present, Lee Hyangi asks San-young for a favour which is to find her remains and give her a proper burial. San-young warns Hae-sang to not find it because she feels that the evil spirit is purposely asking them to discover the objects. Sadly, Hae-sang and Hongsae have already found it and also the remaining piece of the last cursed object.
