Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 4 Ending Explained: The fourth Episode of the anime series premiered on July 27, 2023. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 (呪術廻戦 or Sorcery Fight) much-anticipated anime of this season, is finally out, and the fans cannot keep calm. Directed by Sunghoo Park, the show is animated under MAPPA Studio. With Sayaka Koiso and Tadashi Hiramatsu designing the characters, Yoshimasa Terui is the sole composer of the series. Tatsuya Kitani performed the opening theme, Where Our Blue Is (青のすみか), while Soushi Sakiyama performed the ending theme, Light (燈).

The anime is scheduled for two cours, the first five episodes will adapt the manga’s Hidden Inventory arc, and the eighteen other episodes will showcase the Shibuya arc. Licensed under Crunchyroll, the episodes will be available with English subtitles, and the dubbed version will be released later on.

Based on the manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami, the story follows high school student Yuji Itadori as he joins a secret organization of Jujutsu Sorcerers in order to kill a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, of whom Yuji becomes the host. However, the new season will consist of various aspects of the story which the audience has been wondering about. Each episode has a runtime of 20-25 minutes.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 4 Ending Explained

In the fourth episode, after Toji kills Gojo, he heads towards Geto to fulfil his mission. He kills Amanai in cold blood as soon as he reaches, leaving Geto shocked. The two of them get into an intense battle of strength, as Geto unleashes one of the strongest curses. However, Toji manages to slash the cursed object in half and also incapacitates Geto. He leaves the area along with Amanai’s body and hands it over to the Star Religious Group.

How did Gojo come back to life?

Right after Toji handed over Amanai’s body and received his payment, he was returning back to his home. On the way, he sees Satoru Gojo standing in front of him. Gojo then explains that he is alive due to his reverse cursed technique. The moment Toji pierced his sword on Gojo’s neck, he stopped fighting and started to activate the technique in order to heal his body. The negative cursed energy strengthened the boy instead of regenerating it.

What happened to Toji?

Both Gojo and Geto started to fight again. However, Gojo dodged Toji’s attacks easily and started to float up in the air. Toji could somehow predetermine Gojo’s attacks as he knew a lot about his cursed technique. But there was one aspect of Gojo’s abilities that only his family knew about. The infinity of lapse and reversal collides in a way which generates a huge amount of mass power. The technique is called the Hollow technique, Purple. Gojo hits Toji with it and ultimately kills him.

What happened to Amanai?

Riko Amanai was killed at the hands of Toji Fushiguro. Her dead body was taken to the Star Religious Group organisation. However, after Gojo managed to kill Toji, he brought her body back to Jujutsu High. But the merger between Riko and Master Tengen could not happen since she was murdered.

What were Toji’s last words?

In the last few minutes, Toji mentions that his son, who is Megumi, will be sold off to the Zenin family. This concludes that Megumi belongs to the Zenin clan, and he also inherited their abilities.
