And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 7 Review: The Much Awaited Carrie and Aidan Reunion is Here!

And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 7 Review: This HBO series is developed by Michael Patrick King. It serves as the revival and a sequel of the old classic Sex and the City which was created by Darren Star, based on Candace Bushnell’s newspaper column and 1996 book anthology of the same name.

The main cast for the show features Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw, Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbes, Kristin Davis as Charlotte York Goldenblatt, Mario Cantone as Anthony Marentino, David Eigenberg as Steve Brady, Evan Handler as Harry Goldenblatt, Sara Ramirez as Che Diaz and Sarita Choudhury as Seema Patel. Other cast members include Nicole Ari Parker as Lisa Todd Wexley, Karen Pittman as Dr. Nya Wallace, Bobby Lee as Jackie Nee, Chris Jackson as Herbert Wexley, LeRoy McClain as Andre Rashad Wallace, Cathy Ang as Lily Goldenblatt, Alexa Swinton as Rose Goldenblatt, Niall Cunningham as Brady Hobbes, Cree Cicchino as Luisa Torres, Ivan Hernandez as Franklyn and Brenda Vaccaro as Gloria Marquette.

There are going to be some new faces in the second season. We will see John Corbett as Aidan Shaw, and Candice Bergen as Enid Frick alongside Tony Danza, Sam Smith and Victor Garber. The biggest surprise is, of course, the return of Kim Cattrall as Samantha Jones.

The seventh Episode of And Just Like That Season 2 is out now. The episode is written by Samantha Irby with Ry Russo-Young as the director and is titled ‘February 14th’. The runtime of the episode is 45-60 approximately minutes.

And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 7 Review: February 14th

As the episode name suggests, love is in the air. Miranda is out of the Che-society and Carrie is finally ready to meet her stranger from the past. We also have Charlotte taking some serious lead this time around.

Aidan’s life history and biography were nailed straight to our heads in the last episode by Carrie. Thus, when the man actually ended up replying to Carrie’s mail to have a V-Day dinner in And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 7, we were not surprised. We were, of course, surprised by the style this time Aidan has and, the bad memories from the past haunting this duo on their reunion.

Carrie was not the only one driving the front seat this lovers’ season. Miranda is on! She goes on a date with an audiobook reader (very Miranda-esque, we must say) and, gets the hands-on experience about the real dating world years later. We are not sure if it is a good or a bad thing yet. Meanwhile, the AJLT writers are throwing some Che redemption arc on us as the comedian has a low income and trying hard to find a footing.

Charlotte steps in to save Anthony’s day which has a quintessential Drew Barrymore twist to it. She also takes a bold career step that makes us go, you go girl! Lisa’s parenting style takes focus with Seema showing up to lighten up our and Carrie’s mood on V-Day.

And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 7: Final Thoughts

In all honesty, this week’s episode felt the closest we can get to the Sex and the City vibe and, besties, we are taking it with grace. And Just Like That Season 2 Episode 7 makes us hopeful that the show is heading towards something we might eventually like but, it is still too early to say.
