As the first half of the year wraps up its works, the second half promises to be equally eventful if not more. And, if you’re a K-pop fan, things are looking up for you especially with the endless streak of Seventeen projects of 2023 that have been announced so far for the months coming ahead. Till the month of June, the 13-member music act under HYBE labels has acquired many gigs and schedules that have kept their fans, known as CARATs, captivated.

S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino worked on their 10th extended play, FML and brought alive a new music collection in April 2023. Other than their never-ending musical hits, they also blessed their fans with several variety show appearances, especially Game Caterers with Na PD, where they secured yet another travel show gig with the much-loved producer. DK and Joshua also joined Lee Young-ji on her candid No Prepare YouTube talk show, while Wonwoo released his set of short episodes in the Mindset Collection with DIVE Studios.
Joshua and Jun channelled their inner child to connect with young babies on The Return of Superman, and the former even graced the PSICK Show on YouTube with Vernon. Making for one of the most awaited onscreen unions in K-pop, the SEVENTEEN singer and producer Woozi finally met up with BTS’ Suga on one of the Suchwita episodes, Mingyu and Dino even showed off their robust physiques on the sets of the TV program Gym Jong Kook, and the list goes on.
The year is only getting more fired up for CARATs. So, brace yourselves for all the escapades, adventures, solo projects, comebacks, drama series appearances and more they have line up ahead.
New SEVENTEEN Projects of 2023
- SEVENTEEN Jun PSYCHO Digital Single
Following up on his 2022 digital single Limbo, Jun has now released a second single titled Psycho on July 4, 2023. The Limbo singer participated in the songwriting and composition of the latest track that exudes a dark sensual energy. The atmospheric dreamy concept of the song falls under the alternative hip-hop genre.

To be held in Gocheok Sky Dome, the new Seoul tour dates are – July 21, FRI 7PM KST (3:30PM IST) and July 22, SAT 6PM KST.
- Always Yours SEVENTEEN Japan Comeback
Pre-orders for the upcoming Japanese album opened in June, while its release date is slated for August 23, 2023. The new record will be comprising of the group’s best Japanese hits, along with the revised Japanese versions of their original Korean record-breaking tracks.

- Hoshi and Joshua’s Variety Show – Bro & Marble
Starring on a new travel show bound for Dubai, the two Kpop idols will be accompanied by Lee Seung-gi, Yoo Yeon-seok, Lee Dong-hwi, Ji Suk-jin and Super Junior Kyuhyun. Undoubtedly, owing to the members’ chemistry on GOSE episodes, Joshua and Hoshi were casted for their entertaining dynamic. (Releasing this July)
- Joshua and Vernon’s Apple Music Radio Show
Titled Summer Vacation, the 2 Minus 1 duo is all set to release 4 exclusive episodes of their Summer talk show for CARATs. To be made exclusively available on Apple Music Radio, the new series will explore the members’ thoughts on Summer itself, and their personal memories associated with the season as they also discuss their favourite songs and much more. Vernon has particularly recommended the ‘Ice Cream & Summer Foods’ episode as a fun one.

- Tencent Music Entertainment Awards 2023
Scheduled for July 9, 2023, the 4th Tencent Music Entertainment Awards 2023 will be witnessing performances by the 13-member boy group. Since the announcements have also listed Jun individually, it’s quite likely that he’ll be performing his solo singles as well. On the other hand, however, Seungkwan will be sitting this event out due to health reasons.
- Youth Over Flowers (TBA)
Although the travel-variety show’s date hasn’t been confirmed yet, SEVENTEEN is expected to be seen alongside PD Na Young-seok again sooner or later. Their OT13 Game Caterers feature in the first half of 2023 won them the grand prize of being casted in the show, owing to Dino and Wonwoo’s lucky wish chit.

Jun Variety Show – Yell For Fun
The8 and Jun often embark on solo Chinese adventures, and one of these listed out under the latter’s name for this year happens to be the Chinese variety show Yell for Fun, which will feature the ’96 liner partaking in trending game sessions with the rest of the cast of the show.
Jun’s Chinese Drama
Formally known as Wen Junhui, the SVT member has already acted in a number of Chinese dramas by now, owing to his acting career kicking off right when he was a child. He’s previously shortly appeared in the movie The Legend is Born: Ip Man, and is now also preparing to lead the 2023 youthful Chinese romantic series titled Exclusive Fairytale adapted from Once We Come Across Love by Yi Jin. (Release Date yet to be announced)

The Chinese variety show doesn’t have a predetermined script, rather, it focusses on the impromptu chemistry and antics shared between the cast members. Season 4’s episodes had them all travelling around various cities of the world and exploring sundry cultures.
