Take Two 2nd Win: BTS OT7 Record a New All Time Hit on M Countdown Despite Ongoing Hiatus

Running their BTS OT7 agenda despite the group’s Ongoing Hiatus at the moment, the K-pop band’s Army has helped the phenomenal septet record a new hit with their Take Two 2nd win. It’s true when artists claim that their success has been granted to them mostly because of their fans’ constant dedication, and no one acknowledges it more than RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook.

On yet another weekly Music program broadcast of Mnet’s M Countdown, the BTS ARMY have assisted their favourite artists to set a new massive record, that has further consolidated the seven members’ stand in the K-pop industry. For the successive second week in a row, the BIGHIT music squad has registered a second win for their latest group endeavour. What’s more interesting is the fact that Take Two didn’t even serve as an official comeback for the boys, rather it was delivered by them as a gift to their loving fan ARMY on the occasion of the band’s 10th anniversary, i.e. the 2023 BTS FESTA.

Nevertheless, the fans of the group always make it a personal task when it comes to voting for their beloved singers, and so they did it again. Not only does this win marks their second victory in a row on the same show, it has also helped BTS lock in their overall 163rd music show win, further extending their record as the artist with the most Korean music show wins in history.

For this battle, the HYBE septet was up against JYP Entertainment’s fourth generation boy group, Stray Kids, for their recent title track S-Class comeback. Despite having no physical sales for Take Two, BTS came in first with a vast gap, and the feat can be credited to the ARMYs who contributed to the pre-voting and live voting sessions. Ultimately, the BTS FESTA track garnered a total of 7750 points, while S-Class stood tall as the runner-up of the week with 7448 points.

Dated June 29, 2023, the M Countdown stage was graced by many radiant and blinding performances. Some special stages that set the lineup ablaze were SHINee’s Hard and Juice, ATEEZ’s Bouncy (K-Hot Chilli Peppers), YENA’s Hate Rodrigo, VAV’s Designer, 8TURN’s WORLD + EXCEL, Lapillus’ Who’s Next, andTEAM’s (&TEAM) Firework (Korean version), THE NEW SIX’s (TNX) Kick It 4 Now, LUN8’s Wild Heart and more.
