Rafuchakkar Plot

Disguising himself as a rich airline guy, athletic gym rat, and such, a con man who mainly targeted women to cheat and defraud money gets arrested. But due to the lack of evidence, the truth stands sealed. Will the courtroom drama prove that Pawan is the scammer and elaborate on why he committed those crimes? Or will the mastermind escape the play?

Rafuchakkar Episode 9 Review

Finally, the climax has come, and it’s surprisingly well and good. Previously, I guessed that Pawan Bawaria’s father was involved in the scams, and the ending made my theory come true but with a twist. Apparently, Pawan and his scams were backed by his entire Family, that is, his father, mother, wife, and Ritu Arora. Yes!

Every one of them has a terrible past linked with Pathania, and to bring him down, a huge plan was set up by Pawan’s family, supported by Ritu and her husband. Pawan took revenge on behalf of his father, who was mocked at his office and sentenced to jail for a crime he didn’t commit, for the electricity hike and the huge loss every family hold underwent, etc. Ritu, on the other hand, wanted to thrash the big guy for the disrespect.

Speaking of Pawan’s family assistance, his wife has taught him to speak in English, his mother handled makeup, and the person to whom Pawan reported was his father. Considering how naive his family looked, guessing them as his allies was a hard call. Because the father felt suspicious since he faced criticism and shame, imagining Pawan’s wife and mother’s role in the scam, on the other hand, was a tough call.

Coming to Ritu, she has always been trying to frame Pawan only to bring up Pathania’s fraudulent activities. Sadly, Shaurya Chautala had no clue about their game. In the end, where they show Shaurya losing her mind while all of them have their best times, I lost it. The writers have really put their efforts into making the ending justifiable and iconic.

I liked how in all the episodes, the story kept building with heat to only end in a humorous manner. When I found that the entire family was driven by revenge, I was forced to wonder what kind of family does this man have! Honestly, from the perspective of someone who’d have wished for a swagger ending, the climax is a dramatic finish that’s also super stupid.

But from the lens of someone who wanted Rafuchakkar to be a family series that’ll end without too many heroic moments, it made the cut. The sense of achievement felt wholesome, and most importantly, Ritu Arora being one of the masterminds worked massively. Notably, Jaidev got to know the truth only at the end, and it’s a shock how he didn’t flip after realising that the family he bonded with are scam geniuses (they did it for a good cause, though).

What About the Avatars and the Scams?

Pawan accepts that he disguised himself as Ajay Chauhan to take revenge on Pathania. Speaking of the other avatars that are Sathish Chaudhary and Kirtan Gada, it was purely to gauge money. He claimed himself as the virus who worked in the wrong way to pull the criminal out. Was Pawan scamming innocent bystanders fair, though? Not really, but in the end, all the money he took from them returned to the respective people’s bank accounts. Thanks to this scene, the directors saved themselves from being bashed for justifying scams.

Final Thoughts

Overall the wait was worth it. Maniesh Paul pulled off all his roles, Priya Bapat nailed her attorney role in a sassy manner, and Aakash Dahiya really gave out a stellar performance. Aksha Pardasany is one of the badass roles who got a funny ending, but she really worked it out well. Kudos to the writers for not adding unnecessary characters and wasting time.

Though some characters like Harpreet Singh and Preeti faded into thin air, their presence wouldn’t have added much meaning to the climax they gave. So it’s all good.
