Rafuchakkar Plot

Disguising himself as a rich airline guy, athletic gym rat, and such, a con man who mainly targeted women to cheat and defraud money gets arrested. But due to the lack of evidence, the truth stands sealed. Will the courtroom drama prove that Pawan is the scammer and elaborate on why he committed those crimes? Or will the mastermind escape the play?

Rafuchakkar Episode 4 Recap

In the fourth episode, another character Manjeet Singh and his scams are detailed. The episode starts with Mr Pathania, the parliament guy, meeting with prosecutor Ritu Arora in an unexpected manner to somehow rope her into finding Pawan Bhataria, aka, Ajay Chauhan, Kirtan Gada and Manjeet Singh.

A polygraph test messes with Pawan, and Ritu confirms that he is the culprit. In the courtroom, the backstories are explained visually, and we find about a wedding couple requesting Manjeet Singh, a so-called famous wedding planner, to manage their big day. Initially, Manjeet acts all sturdy and declines the rich couple, which only pushes the couple to plead with him. Hence, he accepts their request.

Manjeet arranges their wedding and gains loads of money, but the family fails to notice that he is just an ordinary man play-pretending without running any background checks on the guy who is literally arranging their (hopefully) once-in-a-lifetime event. When the main day comes, Manjeet makes a run for it with 20 million in his hand.

We’re back in the courtroom, where Ritu updates every piece of evidence to state Pawan is the culprit, but they aren’t strong enough. Pawan’s lawyer is smart as well because he questions the witnesses about their illegal riches, which causes them to panic. The focus slowly turns towards the witnesses rather than Pawan.

Rafuchakkar Episode 4 Review

From this episode, we can see that Pawan isn’t fooling just women but rich exploiters. He probably finds them easy to handle and takes back the illegal money they earned from the people. Sounds nice to me, though. Through this episode, we’re introduced to another avatar of Maniesh Paul, and this shift suits him quite well. The sass Paul emitted as Manjeet Singh was so wholesome to watch. His habit of snapping his fingers and yelling “vanish” is a trendsetter.

In this episode, Maniesh Paul’s acting was on point, and he really stood out compared to the previous two characters. His physique, attires, and beard were attractive and so kudos to the makeup and costume team. The other actors, especially Aakash Dahiya, have also done a brilliant job. Dahiya’s tacky actions and his witty dialogues are worth the love.

We’re yet to know how and where the money Pawan took away as Ajay Chauhan and Kirtan Gada is, his purpose behind scamming these rich people, and other details that will help us understand the complete story. So far, we, as viewers, know Pawan is the con man, but there isn’t anything to hate about him. He seems to be a normal guy playing cleverly with the wealthy evils.

There isn’t much focus on supporting actors like Pawan’s wife, his parents, and such, but we’re yet to find out why Pawan’s father was always annoyed at whatever his son did. That’s something we need to know because maybe that could be a reason behind Pawan’s con intentions. Or is his father also a part of this con?

Another intriguing question that popped up was, what if Pawan and Jaidev (the defence lawyer), are in this together? Since Jaidev is Pawan’s childhood buddy, what if both of them planned the scams together? Because in every episode, Pawan calls a person and tells them that the time to leave has come. Who was he talking to? Could it be Jaidev, or could it be someone unexpected? Hopefully, in the upcoming episodes, we will find it.

Final Thoughts

So far, so good. The series started off slowly and had an impression of a repetitive plot, but as it progressed, it increased the curiosity to find out why Pawan swindled the money, his ally, and such.
