10 Taylor Swift Songs That Will Help You Move on From the Unworthy Ex: Bad Blood, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and More

While she has been the queen of lyricism for so long, it is only safe to assume that she has songs perfect for getting over the ex that has only caused problems for you. In the wide range of Taylor Swift’s discography, there are so many songs that would be perfect for raving when you want to completely ditch that one person who has made your entire life miserable. So without any further ado, here are some songs that will help you get over that unworthy ex.

Taylor Swift Songs to Get Over That Unworthy Ex

I Did Something Bad

When there are men in the picture, it generally means that they have done something so unforgivable that it is impossible to forgive them. This song talks about retaliation, that if every man is ready to hunt witches, then perhaps we can burn them in the fire too. This song talks about how she strings men along, especially those who are pretending to be her saviour, spending her money and living off of her mental peace and sanity. It is a song that you can feel great screaming to while you do some bad things.

This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things

This song explores how exes are sometimes exactly like children, but even though they have pretended to be one, she has enough friends and family to help her get over this. It also talks about how a backstabber has an opportunity to be the most infuriating person, and they can come back for second chances, like children who haven’t fully figured themselves out. While everything in the place has been done up to be a Gatsby-like affair, this one person is expected to ruin everything.

I Forgot That You Existed

This is perhaps the best way to get over someone. It is just to pretend they don’t exist anymore. The feeling of being freed from this thought process is so cool that flexing against your ex with this would be the perfect comeback. They took away all the sunshine in life but no matter because there was a magical night when they were not remembered, and while you thought it would kill you, it really didn’t because this person doesn’t even exist to you anymore.

We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together

After so many times you call, and you break up, there has to be a line drawn, be that person because this song connotes the savagery that would carry through the breakup. This person also perhaps cannot make up their mind and continuously call you until you’re confused about what anything entails anymore. Since it was definitely the other person who had all the control over the relationship, maybe this end can be something you can hold in your own hand and draw a boundary gleefully.

I Bet You Think About Me

This person born with a silver spoon has the audacity to judge you? Well, they must be damned because while you are enjoying your life and while you are creating these memories with other people, this person has been stuck thinking about you. There is nothing better than knowing that the person who has been pining over is the one that cannot get over you. Additionally, this song makes fun of the same silver spoon so brilliantly that the other person would be ashamed of their own opulence.

mad woman

This song is for the people who are going through it but can quietly seethe so well that all they launch into is poetry. This song is exactly like that. It talks about how this woman tries to express her anger, and even though people call her mad for doing that, it just means that they are invalidating her anger. However, this song gives the person a chance to talk about all the times they have been wronged. It is deep-rooted in pain and hate but with the female rage of a thousand suns. Get your anger card topped now.

Vigilante Shit

An absolute vibe, because the opening line itself is so scathing. Perhaps the rest of the song is only enough to drive the point home and nothing else. It talks about the main protagonist deciding to side with the women instead of the men causing problems themselves. She obviously doesn’t mind doing things to hurt that person because they have given that and twice more. So put on your spikiest thigh-high boot with a cat-eye that should definitely be sharp enough to kill a man.

You’re Not Sorry

Knowing someone for exactly who they are has benefits because you know exactly when they are lying. So the best thing to do is to let them know and to let it go. This song is about how a man has consistently been calling, asking for chances and letting her down. In that case, just pack it up and leave. It is somewhat cathartic that the person you know has been desperate, and you hold all the power in your hands. Don’t let them take over, just let them be aware that they’re not sorry, and that is enough to prick deep.

Mean

This song may be considered to be the child’s version of a tantrum, but it’s okay because you haven’t learnt civility yet. So call this person all the callous person they are. Call them mean, and a liar, and pathetic and bored in life and mean because that is probably what they deserve. This song is about letting the person know exactly what they did to you, but the callousness was so ridiculous and so pathetic that it was downright mean, a childlike response for a childlike person.

Bad Blood

This song is about a person who has understood that there will always be animosity, and they would be happy to welcome that. Additionally, since the video contains a lot of women, it can also be about how there is always female camaraderie that works too well to get over a tragic ex with no personality. Since this person barely had any empathy or kindness and they used bandaids to fix bullet holes, it is perhaps best that they stay as far away as possible.

All of these songs are available to stream and blast on speakers on Spotify. Which songs are you going to be vibing to now? Let us know in the comments below.
