As the plot thickens, it’s now time to indulge ourselves with the Love and Death episode 6 preview. As previously seen in the Hulu series Candy, HBO Max’s Love and Death also deals with the true-crime story surrounding the infamous axe murder that took place in 1980. The miniseries has been directed by Lesli Linka Glatter, written by David E. Kelley, and has Jeff Russo as its composer. It’s featured opening theme, Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood, has been sung by Nina Simone.

Love and Death Plot
Centred around the true story of a Texan housewife, Candy Montgomery, the show takes us through different chapters of her life in Wylie, Texas before the infamous tragedy ultimately struck. Being one of the core members of her community’s Methodist church, she’s unsatisfied with how stifling her situation is, and so to seek a “reckless” way out of this paradigm, she steps into an extramarital affair with Allan Gore, a fellow of the church. While having begun on this route, Candy has no plans of hurting anyone in the process, it eventually leads her to the point when she brutally murders her friend (Allan’s wife), Betty Gore in 1980.
Love and Death Cast
Elizabeth Olsen leads the cast as the titular character Candy Montgomery. The remaining main ensemble cast includes Jesse Plemons as Allan Gore, Lily Rabe as Betty Gore, Patrick Fugit as Pat Montgomery, Kristen Ritter as Sherry Clecker, Tom Pelphrey as Don Crowder, Elizabeth Marvel as Jackie Ponder and Keir Gilchrist as Ron Adams.

HBO Max held a 3-episode premiere for the show with episodes 1, 2 and 3 releasing on April 27, 2023. With a total of 7 episodes in the season, each one will be released on a weekly basis till May 25, 2023.

Love and Death Episode 6 Prediction
Episode 6, ‘The Big Top’, will look at the aftermath of Candy’s arrest and how her legal team sides along with her in court when everything and everyone else looks the other way. The entire case will be treated as a big event, with the community’s eyes glued to their screens as it becomes one of the first of its kind criminal case in Texas. As some friends turn their back on her, others (but only a few) stay by her side with the proceedings digging deep into what all went down between Candy and Betty.
Love and Death Episode 5 Recap
Titled ‘The Arrest’, Episode 5 focusses on the police investigation in full swing and the chiefs rising suspicions towards Candy as the news of her affair with Allan gets out. Meanwhile, Don Crowder starts preparing a case in her favour with his legal team while also considering therapy options for her. Candy holds on to the claim of not having killed Betty, but the inevitable arrest eventually finds its way to her.
