Dance Brothers: Everything to Know About the Finnish Drama Exploring Brotherhood

Since some relationships are even closer than blood, this Finnish drama, Dance Brothers, explores how these two characters have their lives revolve around each other but also need to figure out how to be their own person. Created by Mahsa Malka, the episodes are directed by Taito Kawata. Meanwhile, the showrunner also serves as the writer along with Reeta Ruotsalainen. Camilla O’Connor and Unne Sormunen join the crew as the producer and executive producer, respectively, while Arsen Sarkisiants is the cinematographer.

Dance Brothers Plot/Synopsis

In this show, the two people who are starting their own dance club have a very specific vision for it. They want it to be one that looks like them and feels like them. However, there are many obstacles to creating a dance club. Most of the trailer shows us the duo dancing and trying to gain people who fit their club.

It does seem like the two people are closer than brothers. They have an almost platonic soulmate-like relationship with each other. They need each other, but their relationship starts getting tested when love and other obstacles come in the middle. Even though they are supposed to be each other’s rock, women and alcohol are often enough to make men question their own masculinity. Adding to this, they realise that they both have very different artistic visions for this club.

They may have started their club, but things are just starting to heat up. The dancers are still figuring out what they need, and while mainstream music is amazing to dance to, the creators of this club don’t like this. They want people who are good at what they do, unique at what they do and ready to give their passions to this cause. The duo think of themselves as the gods of dance, and perhaps there is a spot for more than one, so it is totally okay for them to harbour this notion.
