Barracuda Queens Teaser brings forward some of the darkest desires one might have, living in this economy. Following a group of girls who decide to take their lives to the next level, seeking some thrill but like many decisions taken in our younger days, will it be the best story to tell or a disaster that will ruin everything?

It is an upcoming Swedish crime thriller heist series, which is directed by Amanda Adolfsson and written by Camilla Ahlgren, Sofie Forsman, Tove Forsman, and Veronica Zacco, from the conceptual idea by Ahlgreen, Frida Asp and Fatima Varhos. The series is also said to be inspired by real events and is set in the year 1995.

The ensemble cast of the series includes Alva Bratt as Lollo Millkvist, Tindra Monsen as Klara Rapp, Sandra Zubovic as Frida Rapp, Tea Stjärne as Mia Thorstensson, Sarah Gustafsson as Amina Khalil, Izabella Scorupco as Margareta Millkvist, Carsten Björnlund as Lars Millkvist, Max Ulveson as Calle Millkvist, Johannes Kuhnke as Claes Rapp, Mirja Turestedt as Viveca Rapp, Michaela Thorsén as Cecilia Thorstensson, Meliz Kargle as Laila Khalil, Gino Estera as Farshid Khalil, Christian Fandango Sundgren as Tobias among others.

The story follows four girls – Lollo, Klara, Frida, and Mia, in the 90s where they are living their best life, throwing endless parties & seeking impulsive adventures. They come from privileged families as well & call themselves the Barracuda Queens. However, everyone reaches a point in life where they take a decision that might change the whole course of their future.

That’s what happens when hit with a huge bill from the party they threw and no means to pay it back, they decide to rob their new neighbour Amina’s house. But little did they know that their one-time thrill become a regular occurrence, as Amina also joins in on the thrilling heists. Living a double-secret life, by day they are high-achieving students and daughters but by night, they are ruthless thieves stealing from the rich neighbourhoods.

But the question remains if they will ever get caught, or if this is a fail-proof plan, keeping their identities hidden. In the teaser, it seems that they are being questioned about the best and the worst things they have done in their lives.

They answer partying as the best thing ever while stealing is the worst thing – which actually pays the party bills. As one-time thing becomes more frequent, the group seems to be falling apart due to some differences. While everything is unfolding in the teaser, the song Rhythm is a Dancer by Snap! plays in the background, which seems like an apt soundtrack for the party girl’s gang.
