While the lineup already looks interesting, every year, this concert selects the Dream Rookie through voting, which is currently underway and will continue till April 23, 2023. The final selected teams will be revealed through the Fancast App on April 25, 2023. The Sophomore category includes artists who are currently completing their second year in the industry or must have debuted in 2021. On the other hand, the Fresh Category features groups currently completing their first year in the industry. The artists must have debuted in 2022 or 2023.

The Sophomore Category includes artists like MIRAE, BLITZERS, Billlie, YEAHSHINE, JUST B, TRI.BE, PURPLE KISS and PIXY, while the Fresh Category includes NINE.i, Lapillis, 8TURN, CLASS:y and FIFTY FIFTY. Groups that get past this voting process will be allowed to perform on stage at the concert for a different event. This is an opportunity for new and upcoming artists to make their mark in the industry.

Last year was the first time the concert was coming back after the pandemic, remaining closed for two years. Tickets were open to buy from May 23, 2022, and the concert was held on June 18, 2023. It was held in the Seoul Olympic Stadium and boasted a turnup of over 45,000 people.

Performers for last year’s line up included NCT DREAM, IVE, Red Velvet, NMIXX, Oh My Girl, Dreamcatcher, STAYC, VICTON, Kep1er, CIX, Golden Child, Weeekly, LABOUM, PENTAGON, AB6IX, CRAVITY, WEi, DRIPPIN, ALICE (formerly known as ELRIS), CLASS:y, TAN, LIGHTSUM, YOUNITE, EPEX, KINGDOM, TRENDZ, and Lee Mujin.

Hosted by the KEPA (Korea Entertainment Producer’s Association), the Dream Concert will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023. Are you excited to see these artists perform on stage? Let us know in the comments below.
