Now that Namrata’s body isn’t found, the police interrogate three best friends of Namrata, who expose them to her ex-boyfriend Rohit. The police suspect that Rohit might be behind the account because Namrata has told her friends about it. However, her three friends went harsh on her and avoided her contact. The police visit Rohit’s house, but he isn’t found there. Then in search of Rohit, it’s understood that he has gone missing at the same time Namrata left her home.

Amidst this chaos, police find out that Namrata contacted her friend Manish before leaving her home. So they call in Manish and interrogate him. He opens up about Namrata, explaining about the phone calls she got from strangers because of Rohit posting her number on the Fake ID. Manish tells her parents and the police that he knew about the suicide plan and that he compelled her not to do it. Meanwhile, Namrata and Rohit’s parents quarrel because they both understand that the cyber harassment done by Rohit has caused both their lives.

With further investigation, the police find a new clue about Manish. Manish, who claimed to be at his home after his phone call from Namrata, has actually left his home. Upon interrogation, Manish reveals the truth. Apparently, before ending her life, Namrata picks up the call from Rohit, where he demands she has sex with him to get rid of the fake account. Namrata tells that to Manish, and the latter tells her a plan.

Namrata calls Rohit to an isolated place where Manish chokes Rohit to death. Then they both bury him at that place which gets found by the police. Both Manish and Namrata get arrested, and Rohit’s parents end up weeping over their son’s corpse. Vikrant Massey once again comes on-screen and gives his piece of advice to the viewers regarding cyber crime and life.

Crimes Aaj Kal Episode 6 Final Thoughts

The episode is well-present, and the ending is pretty fresh. While it’s sad to see the law failing at protecting cyber victims, the real question is, are victims given the freedom of speech and a safe zone to express their troubles? If people are guaranteed with a non-judgmental space, most importantly, understanding parents, many cybercrime victims would be saved.
