The next day, Ha-joon questions his underling how those files made their way to the taxi driver for which the latter has no reason and is now threatened by Ha-joon to check on the reason for the leak of those files. Elsewhere, the Rainbow taxi team is going through another casual day when Do-gi comes across a hospital outside where a man stands protesting for the truth.

Later that very day, the same man comes across a Rainbow taxi advertisement and gives them a call. Do-gi finds the man who tells him his story. A year back his daughter, Uhm Su-ryeon was admitted to the hospital where her surgery was to be done by the director who was quite famed.

During the surgery, he notices something unusual but he lets down his worry when his daughter is brought out of the operation room. However, he soon finds out that his daughter has gone into a coma; following this he tries to take the surgeon to court but with no evidence in his hands, the trial bears no fruit for him.

With no choice left, he stands outside the hospital demanding justice and the documentation of the surgery room. The Rainbow taxi team think of this case to be a medical malpractice case, but the track record of the surgeon in question is clear and in fact very positive.

This makes them reluctant to take up the case and Sung-chul finalises not to take this case. However, the others aren’t sure yet and show their concern for the man. Do-gi too is reluctant to give up on this case; this is when he meets the One Dollar Lawyer Cheon Ji-hun who makes him realise that this is not a case that he can give up on.

He asks Go-eun to turn off the camera on his glasses for three minutes, after which she can turn them on and have the hospital staff turn it off on the pretence that the sensors have become faulty. The plan is soon put into action and Do-gi is successfully put on the operating table and put under anaesthesia.

Taxi Driver Season 2 Episode 9 Review

This has to be one of the most looked-forward-to episodes after the cliffhanger ending of episode 8 and a preview that had us all excited last weekend. Not to forget, with the story taking such sharp turns and getting better each weekend, there is no way we could miss this action.

This episode brought us yet another intriguing case that also showed us how this team works, which is definitely not under any impulse. They really work a lot more on the background information before taking any case and this has been shown in this very episode.

Moving on, the cameo appearance was definitely something we had all been waiting for, and who knows this is good news for the One Dollar Lawyer fans who may even see a new season of the show in the near future.

Finally, this was yet another episode that has been well-planned and kept as real as possible which is another aspect that I enjoy about this show.
