MasterChef India Season 7 Episode 38 Reactions are questioning the judge’s decision to give Priyanka a black apron, despite making a good dish. Hosted by Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar and joined by Garima Arora, the first-ever female Michelin Indian chef to be a judge on the show, it is produced by Endemol Shine India and directed by Neeraj Shetty.
MasterChef India Season 7 Episode 38 is titled ‘A Sweet Surprise’ and the synopsis reads – The home cooks get a sweet surprise visit from their family members, bringing along a special ingredient. Can they elevate their dishes using this core element and impress the chefs?
The cooking competition show is a nationwide quest to find the best ‘home cook’ and draws out some of the most brilliant chefs from across India. The judges sample recipes from various cuisines that the contestants prepare in their search for India’s ‘MasterChef’. And after going through many challenges, one will win the grand prize and the titles.

Episode 38 continued the taste of India challenge with chef Kunal Kapur, as we saw the dishes of the remaining contestants and Santa’s dish became the dish of the day. While Priyanka got a black apron, judges didn’t find her dish impressive enough and even incomplete. This decision has been found unfair by the viewers as they feel that compared to other dishes, it was still better.
Other contestants also made some mistakes in their dishes Suvarna’s dish had uncooked fish while others had some uncooked elements as well. Therefore, giving it to Priyanka seems not right as her dish was completely cooked and even appreciated by chef Kunal. Apart from it, the next day the show organised a challenge that involved family members, where Priyanka was nowhere to be seen.
The family members had brought one ingredient from their homes, using which the contestants had to make the dishes. It was an emotional episode for some but the exclusion of one contestant doesn’t sit well with the audience.
The reactions for the past few episodes have been questioning whether it’s a cooking show or a drama-induced show, where the focus is nowhere on the cooking, but rather on interpersonal drama.
