Reason: Monsta X is an Unattainable Ethereal Dream in New Concept Photos

Contrasting the two previously released versions of Concept Photos – grunge black and fiery red – Monsta X has now put out the third version of concept photos for the upcoming mini album release, Reason, their new record on the horizon after 2022’s Shape of Love. the mini album is set to make way for six tracks –  Beautiful Liar (title), Daydream, Crescendo, Lone Ranger, Deny, and It’s Okay.

In yesterday’s pictures, we got the chance to behold the stunning visuals of Kihyun and Minhyuk’s duo unit, while today’s drop first focussed on the remaining trio of Hyungwon, Joohoney and I.M. (also Changkyun), and then blessed us with the group snaps for this particular version of the album.

With only one last i.e. also the fourth version of the concept photos pending now, we’re one step closer to the much-anticipated Monsta X comeback slated for the next week. The latest visions of the band members are exceedingly mesmerising. While their outfits are minimal as the quintet adorns slightly bejewelled sweaters and plain plants underneath, the highlight of this particular concept has to be the makeup choice.

The dazzling embellishments on the sweaters are complemented by the glittery eyeshadow accentuating the members’ facial features. Conveying a delicately serene countenance of the artists, this look is by far the best among all the concepts released for this album yet. To complete the artistic theme, the solo shots’s space is all occupied by ice-cube shaped prism that hold vibrant flowers entrapped inside. However, unlike these petals, Monsta X’s visual card can’t be contained or trapped inside a cage.

Most importantly, the third set of concept photos for the anticipated music release don’t involve the use of any kind of theatrics or additional props to fill in the vacuum. The artists therein are enough to capture our attention and eye as we keep returning to the check on the beauty gracing our screens.

As always, the members have once again participated in the production process, and their label has already confirmed that Crescendo and It’s Okay have been produced by Joohoney, while the officials released tracklist boosts Hyungwon and I.M.’s names under the songwriting credits for Lone Ranger and Deny respectively.

The six-member South Korean boy band (with Shownu, the leader of the group, currently enlisted for his mandatory military service) has been signed under the label of Starship Entertainment since 2015, after being formed though Mnet’s music reality survival show No Mercy.

Other record labels like Columbia Records, Epic Records and Mercury Tokyo have also signed up with the boys over the years for their English and Japanese EPs. Ever since their debut, the group has stayed true to its authentic signature soundscape pertaining to genres like hip-hop, R&B, trap, electronic dance etc.
