Gandhi (1982)

A young lawyer who makes his way to South Africa for a case ends up staying there for longer than expected and gets himself involved in a movement that changed his life. Witnessing the lives of Indians in this foreign country, Gandhi knew that he had to do something and so he did. Thus began his journey to create history.

The Making of the Mahatma is based on the book Apprenticeship of a Mahatma by Fatima Meer and this movie closely follows his life in South Africa which became the starting point of his historical journey.
