Buy My House: Making the Selling Worth a While

With a Selling Sunset like narrative and Shark Tank like ambience, Buy My House seems to have hammered itself at the perfect spot for the audience to enjoy it, learn from it but, also cringe over it from time to time. The series is short, and crisp and delivers what it promises. But, most importantly, it keeps you entertained thoroughly till the end.

In Buy My House, we are introduced to four real estate magnets- Redfin CEO Glenn Kelman, Corcoran Group CEO Pamela Liebman, NFL linebacker Brandon Copeland and investment property magnate Danisha Wrighster. We have contestants, who are basically house owners come up to the dais to sell their properties.

Throughout the course of the series, we see various homeowners come up to the judges and sell their houses by introducing it, telling their backstories in regards to it and, often, engaging in tough negotiations. Yes, very much like Shark Tank. With the deal being sealed by one or multiple real estate moguls, our esteemed judges have a chance to work on the house of their liking- they can choose to flip it or improve it or, even decide to make a long-term investment to work on the house.

If the homeowners manage to convince the real estate experts on the bench, it might just turn out to be a dream come true for them as they do not have to engage in a lengthy plan of putting the house on the market and, instead will receive a full cash-only offer, with no realtor commission fee on the show.

Buy My House crosses many borders when it comes to house listings. We get to see homes located in Austin, Oklahoma, Florida, Montana, Louisiana, Clevland, Nashville, Detroit, California and much more. Clearly, there isn’t any scarcity of variety as the homes we see range from mansion-sized buildings to average looking places to even a condo! There is competition but, there are also heartfelt stories as there are some tough dealings to sit through giving us a hit of all genre all at once.

Buy My House: Final Verdict

With such repetitive real estate reality shows hitting Netflix one after the other, is Buy My House still worth a watch? Well, the solid answer is yes. The unique setting Buy My House brings to this particular category of real estate and reality TV is definitely something new and engaging. The show is not just about still selling the houses and pouring down cringe through our throats but, it is about knowing tough negotiations and real-life dealings.

Being a series by the end of the day, of course, there are elements that are unique and typical of this particular genre that will surface sooner or later. But, Buy My House still tries to ground itself in reality as much as possible while also giving us a taste of something familiar. On the stream it to skip it note, this surely is a hardcore stream it. Moreover, if business and real estate are your things, you might just fall in love with this show.
