In the SOOP: Friendcation episode 4 starts off with the group leaving the beach and heading towards the skating rink. On the way, they discuss their busy schedules and Taehyung comments on whether they will go on such a trip in their fifties. They all laugh and tell him that they will go on one before that, but when they go out in their fifties then they will be talking about very different things.

Taehyung then asks Peakboy to play some old songs and there starts a quiz of Korean songs from the 2000s. Taehyung takes the lead while Woo-shik keeps giving hints to the others who score points thanks to him. He suggests quizzing on songs before the 2000s, but once again he ends up giving a hint and Seo-joon gets the point.

They soon reach the ice rink and are shocked by the size of the place. One by one they put on their gear and get on the ice. Woo-shik seems to have some trouble at first but is helped by the others to get used to it. On the other hand, Taehyung who suggested the activity also seems to be having a hard time.

Everyone enjoys skating while Woo-shik and Taehyung get together and start skating hand in hand while the others tease them. Someone then asks for music and the squad gives us another round of laughter with their individual performances of the songs. Woo-shik’s ‘Swan Lake’, Taehyung’s ‘Humoresque’ and Peakboy quitting in the middle of his turn gave us a belly full of laughter.

They then play a round of tag and end their activity with it. Back at home, they are ready to cook their dinner and the menu for today is Spicy Chicken Stew and some Kimchi Fried Rice. While the fried rice gives out a delicious aroma, Woo-shik and Hyung-sik check on the stew which seems to be lacking something.

They decide to let it boil down and soon the group sets up the table. Everything turns out to be delicious and the food is swooped away real quick. They then have a toast as Taehyung tells everyone to be happy and Seo-jun adds a wish for good health. The former then talks about him crying and how he cannot remember the reason for it. However, the hyungs have been reminded of this and can’t stop teasing the maknae to their heart’s content.

They finally give Hyung-sik a nickname, and while they first thought of naming him Baekgu (white dog) they give him the number 109. However, Taehyung messes it up and writes Baekgu on his back so the others decide to write 109 on the front.

Woo-shik then thanked Hyung-sik for taking the time to come on this trip despite his busy schedule, reminding everyone that the latter will be leaving the next day. He tells them that he had wanted to join the group for a trip for a very long time and they remember the last trip everyone took without Hyung-sik. Seo-joon recollects how Taehyung surprised them by taking them on a Yacht but also surprised them when he forgot his wallet and the others paid for it.

They took a picture together and even edited Hyung-sik in the picture. They then sigh for they’ll be parting the next day and Hyung-sik asks Peakboy to write a song to remember this trip. The name Polaroid is given to the song which will become the BGM for the show.

They then get changed into their sleepwear, but the night is still long and another round of talks takes place. They then talk about cameo appearances in each other’s works and Peakboy brings out his wish to appear in one of their dramas.

Taehyung then shares his appreciation for Seo-joon who had helped him during the filming of Hwarang: The Poet Warrior by showing him the appropriate expression for every line. Everyone applauds Seo-joon and Woo-shik points out how unstable Seo-joon was during that time. Seo-joon then shares that he was touched by Taehyung’s attitude towards his work which made him eager to help out.

The Wooga squad then talk about the successful trip that they had and if there would be a season 2. While Taehyung points out that this season has to be popular for that, they decide to have a second season by themselves. The topic of a group picture comes up and they decide to take one in a studio like a family picture, deciding on Seo-joon to be the father and Hyung-sik the mother.

Just like this, they all soon head off to bed and they all say their goodbyes to Hyung-sik who will be leaving before daybreak. Hyung-sik soon leaves early in the morning and the others wake up around 10 in the morning. Taehyung is given the duty to prepare their breakfast and he decides on some Sujebi.

However, cooking is definitely not his forte as he messes up the Sujebi that his hyungs can’t stop laughing about. They then make some corndogs and Hotteok which ends up becoming their breakfast. The group then packs up their bags and the trip has finally reached its end.

The Wooga squad’s friendcation has come to an end and there is no doubt that this version of In the SOOP was beautiful and fun. Having entertainers from different parts of the industry have really brought more to this show than we could have thought and it has been a fun time.

This trip was not just enjoyable for the Wooga men but also for everyone watching the show. We have enjoyed watching this new side of the artists and it was a show that has healed us.

I really hope that they get to make a season 2 because the group deserves another break and the fans deserve more Wooga moments. So let’s hope that there is more to look forward to in the future.
