In the Soop: Friendcation is a South Korean reality show which takes place in the serene forests of the country. The show first started with BTS in 2020 which was followed by the second season of the bad and then went on to sport the group SEVENTEEN. This time, the show has taken the well-known Wooga squad into the forest where they relax and share the beautiful moments of their friendship.

The Wooga squad consists of BTS’ V aka Kim Taehyung, rapper Peakboy, and actors Park Seo-joon, Park Hyung-sik and Choi Woo-shik. The group has been friends since 2018 and has shown off their friendship on every occasion possible. Now on this show, we get more insight into the friendship these men share. The show premiered on July 22 and releases new episodes every Friday. In the SOOP: Friendcation episode 2 has a run time of 57 minutes.

In the SOOP: Friendcation episode 2 starts with a quick replay of the last episode followed by where it left off. Choi Woo-shik is here and Taehyung is in a hurry to get him into the uniform. Not giving him a chance to rest, Taehyung gives him the uniform and even gets him to change his socks.

The group then makes their way to the dining area where they first write Woo-shik’s nickname on his uniform- Rom-Com King. Then they enjoy a hot plate of instant food which is mostly swept away by Taehyung, luckily Seo-joon made extra food. After a late dinner/snack, the group retires to bed.

Early morning, Park Hyung-sik arrives at the house and is greeted by the light sleeper Woo-shik who accompanies him for a light steamed bun snack. While enjoying the warm buns and a snowy view, Hyung-sik points out Woo-shik’s weird habit of taking out the excess bed bean paste from his bun.

They then go back in and end up waking Seo-joon and Taehyung who greet them and then decide to sleep a little while longer. After the short nap, Seo-joon once again takes over the kitchen and prepares them a delicious breakfast. During breakfast, the squad find out that they all have monolids, while the hyungs take this as a chance to tease their maknae.

They then decide to get ready for a day of fishing as Hyung-sik helps them stick seasickness patches an hour before they have to leave. Dressed up in layers of warm clothing, the group sets off for their trip.

The squad share a light conversation on the way while also talking about the friendship ring that they all wear. They soon reach their destination as they get on the boat and begin their journey by sea. While Taehyung and Hyung-sik go out to check out the view from the deck, the others seem to be a little fearful of their bumpy ride.

The two soon come back and share their rollercoaster-like experience while Woo-shik entertains the gang with his acting and wobbly stand. They reach the fishing spot and go for a cheer only to fall over each other after which they come out for some fishing.

Soon the squad catches a bunch of Halibut, with Hyung-sik being the first followed by Woo-shik. Seo-joon soon follows and Peakboy and Taehyung also manage to catch a bunch of Halibut. However, they soon start to get seasick as the effects of the medicine wears off and they head back.

Tired from this trip, they have a quick fresh and raw Halibut meal accompanied by Woo-shik’s lame but funny jokes that they can’t help but laugh at. The meal is followed by Taehyung’s quick roll on Woo-shik and Peakboy’s bed as everyone rest in their own way.

Later, the gang decides to go for a swim where they reminisce about the earlier days of their friendship. Then agreeing to a competition of holding their breath underwater, the gang is all into it until their notice Peakboy floating in the water which makes them burst out in laughter.

It’s dinner time and the guys have decided on some meat, some instant noodles and Woo-shik’s Beer Can Chicken. They begin preparation, with Seo-joon on the meat and Taehyung on the instant noodles. Woo-shik seasons the chicken, puts it on a beer can and roasts it for two hours. Meanwhile, Seo-joon begins his work on the meat and soon Taehyung also makes the instant noodles.

The feast begins as the men drool over Seo-joon’s grilled meat and enjoy it with some noodles which makes this their first meal with everyone together. Later, they begin talking as they remember how they became friends so fast and that it was because of a game. They all got along so well which made them bond faster than anyone else.

The game made Hyung-sik and Taehyung want to meet the other two and that is how they all became friends. It was also because Seo-joon called Woo-shik and Peakboy his close friends which got them more intrigued.

Hyung-sik even mentions that if they didn’t play the game together then they would have still become friends in some other way. They then go on to talk about various things, from their first impressions to complimenting each other. The harmony between Hyung-sik and Taehyung and the times when they found each other really cool. They also mention Taehyung’s concert and the feeling of getting on the stage.

Suddenly, Peakboy takes out a pouch that creates multiple colours in the fire- Aurora flames. While they all seemed disinterested at first, it soon changes when the flame changes its colours and they rush to capture the moment on their phones. They then decide to light some fireworks, as Seo-joon distributes them.

They light them up and play while sitting until Woo-shik’s jacket catches the flames which makes them stay away from each other. Soon, the fireworks stop and they sit around the beautiful flames, rejoicing this moment while thinking about Woo-shik’s drama that is soon to air.

In the SOOP: Friendcation Episode 2 Final Thoughts

In the SOOP: Friendcation episode 2 brought the gang together as they finally begin their adventure as a group. A heartwarming episode filled with many jokes, reunion, reminiscing memories, and fishing that almost seemed unbelievable to the squad. This episode gave relaxing vibes that we expect from the show and we loved the little exchanges the group shared throughout.

The little moments of teasing and the subtle way of taking care of each other was really sweet and filled with warmth. As the men shared their feelings and the story of them becoming friends, we have gotten more insight into the beautiful friendship that they share. These men have various talents but they are all connected by a bond of friendship that shall go on for a long time.
