The Flight Attendant Season 2 Ending Explained: What Happens to Kaley Cuoco’s Cassie?

The Flight Attendant Season 2 was extremely ambitious. However, given how season one was able to move us, the pressure on season two was high from the very start and maybe that is why the narrative cracked down the line. The second season focused on Kaley Cuoco’s Cassie being impersonated and, it wasn’t until the last episode that we get the final reveal. For some, the reveal was rather predictable but, for others, it was really shocking to see Cassie being misled by one of the most trustworthy characters for so long.

Developed by Steve Yockey, The Flight Attendant is based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Chris Bohjalian. The cast includes Kaley Cuoco as Cassie Bowden along with her we have Zosia Mamet as Annie Mouradian, Griffin Matthews as Shane Evans, Rosie Perez as Megan Briscoe, Deniz Akdeniz as Max and T. R. Knight as Davey Bowden. The other cast members include Mo McRae as Benjamin Berry, Callie Hernandez as Gabrielle Diaz and Joseph Julian Soria as Esteban Diaz. The series has a total of eight episodes each with a runtime of 40 to 45 minutes.

The Flight Attendant Season 2: What Happens to Cassie?

In The Flight Attendant Season 2 Episode 7, we find out that the doppelganger is Grace but, before we can understand why Grace did what she did, we saw her shoot herself in the head right in front of Cassie. Following this, in The Flight Attendant Season 2 Finale, we see Dot warn Cassie about another person out there looking for Cassie as Grace was not working alone. Dot offers to take Cassie to the CIA HQ from the hospital but, on the way when Cassie insists to head to her house to take a shower, Dot suggests Cassie shower at Dot’s place for safety concerns.

However, at Dot’s place, she discovers that it is Dot, who is the other woman Grace was working with after finding a bottle of Santal 33 at her place. She tries to make an escape but, Dot catches her. Soon, Benjamin’s men arrive and take Dot into custody as she has been selling CIA files at the backend for years now. After the doppelganger mystery is put behind her, Cassie heads to Jenny’s place to get Davey, who according to Jenny has had a rage fit.

But when Cassie reaches Jenny’s place, she realizes it was all a ruse to lure her into Jenny’s apartment. With Davey knocked out unconscious, Jenny attacks Cassie. We find out Jenny has been manipulated by Feliks (from season one, who was Cassie’s boyfriend at the end trying to kill her) to get rid of Cassie. In this moment of adrenaline, Cassie is able to pull herself together and, with the help of a dizzy Davey, knocks out Jenny.

At the end of The Flight Attendant Season 2 Finale, we see Cassie boarding a flight to attend Max and Annie’s wedding. She resolves her issues with her mother over an emotional phone call. The final scene closes down with Cassie dancing alone in solace, at the wedding.
