The rules of the challenge are laid down, and as usual, the bottom two dishes from the fans as well as the favourites will head to the upcoming pressure test which will result in elimination. However, the best dish emerging out of this challenge will secure a reward as the person will be provided with an advantage for his/her entire team in the upcoming challenges.

The cooks get on their feet and start cooking with the mystery element of coffee trying to make it the highlight of their respective dishes. Harry is the only one with an immunity pin to play but, she tells that she will not and tries her best to secure her pin. As the cooking commences certain cooks like Aldo is extremely happy with how their dishes turn out to be. On the other hand, you see people like Harry and Jenn absolutely fragile at this stage in the competition.

When the cooking ends and the tasting begins, everyone looks forward to knowing how things have turned out to be. Billie puts her dish first which is a Coffee Chocolate Fondant with a Coffee Parfait and Coriander Praline and, the judges are smitten by it. Matt brings in his Coffee Crushed Kangaroo with Coffee Jus and Macadamia Cream next which according to the judges is very well done. Coffee Syrup Cake with Coffee Gelato and Canning Bacon is Julie’s dish which has a lot of variety as it features coffee.

Montana’s dish is a Coffee Ice Cream with Coffee Sauce and Figs which is a very strong plate to produce and impress. Mindy’s presenting a classic Coffee Tiramisu is risky but, the judges do enjoy it. Jenn puts forward a Coffee Glazed Pumpkin with Coffee Cream which isn’t the best in the row as the glazing of the coffee has made the dish more bitter than expected. Next up is Sarah who has made Gulan Jamun in Coffee Syrup but, although the syrup is called lovely the jamuns had not quite soaked up the syrup to make the perfect dish.

Vanilla and Coffe Ice Cream with a Chocolate Sponge is Daniel’s presentation which is a dish where the judges think that the coffee is missing. Alvin’s dish is next who has made a Chocolate Egg Coffee Brownie does not hit the target quite right either. Aldo’s Panna Cotta al Caffe has got the right wobble as well as the right taste to impress the judges. Harry’s dish is a Coffee Breakfast Sandwich with Coffee Tonic that lacks coffee as the main element altogether. Coffee with Berries is Minoli’s dish which does not land right either.

The last one to come to the table is Ali. The dish is a Coffee Marinated Eggplant with Tofu Latte and Coffee Jus and, it is the most unique one out of the lot. And, it gets all the praise out there from the judges.

MasterChef Australia Season 14 Episode 21: What is the final verdict?

Aldo and Ali’s dishes are the best out of the lot but, it is Ali who secures herself the advantage in the end. Jenna and Harry are in the bottom two from the Fans due to their dishes. And, from the Favourites, it is Minoli and Sarah who land at the bottom.

MasterChef Australia Season 14 Episode 21: Final Thoughts

In today’s episode of MasterChef Australia, there were many dishes that were rather impressive. Ali’s out of the box dish was surely something everyone was looking forward to and, it is sad how Harry and Minoli just really did not do enough to hit the target. Matt and Billie’s dishes were also incredible as was Aldo’s wobbly Panna Cotta. This episode was fun, it was sweet as well as bitter just like coffee!
