Young Wallander Season 2 is a crime drama series, based on Henning Mankell’s Novels led by a fictional Inspector Kurt Wallander. Much like the BBC’s Sherlock, this series is also set in the present day, unlike Mankell’s original character, a middle-aged man. In this season, viewers can expect the return of the lead character with a brooding charm to solve crimes involving the multi-cultural Sweden and Swedish people.

The series was created by Ben Harris and directed by the duo Ole Endresen and Jens Jonsson. The first season consisted of six episodes with a run time of forty to fifty minutes. The show was a huge success, especially in the United Kingdom. On January 18, Netflix released the trailer for Season 2. In this season, Wallander will be seen to accept a case that will lead him to the centre of the action.

The leading cast includes Swedish actor Adam Palsson as Kurt Wallander, Yasen Atour as Reza Al-Rahman, Leanne Best as Frida Rask, Richard Dillane as Hemberg, Ellise Chappell as Mona, Sara Seyed as Jasmine, Jordan Adene as Ibra and Alan Emrys as Gustav Munck.

Young Wallander Season 2 Plot/ Synopsis:

In the first season’s finale, we saw Wallander quit the police department in Malmö after the wealthy killer Karl-Axel Munck was free. We will see him return to solve a bizarre murder that could be connected to an incendiary national news story in the series. The crimes involve teenagers and will show gruesome killings and vandalizations.
