Dileep’s much-anticipated film Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadhan, directed by Nadirshah, is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar from December 31, 2021. The comedy film also stars Urvashi, Anusree, Naslen K Gafoor, Harisree Ashokan, Mohan Jose, and Ramesh Pisharadi in other prominent roles.

Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadhan shows promise in the first half of the movie

Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadhan is a romantic comedy that relies on the lead actor’s comic timing and some clever lines to bring about laughs. The film starts on a promising note with some good one-liners, but as the story progresses, it loses steam. There are still some funny moments in between, but they are few and far between. The film seems to lose its way and fails to regain its momentum.

The performances are another central plus point of the film. Dileep is his usual self, and even though he doesn’t do much acting-wise, his comic timing is top-notch. Rajisha Vijayan does well as Radhika, and she brings a lot of energy to her character.

While a few laughs are to be had, the film doesn’t rely solely on comedy to keep our attention. Some exciting scenes have been well written and executed. The film is also about the relationship between father and son. Although the father is not a central character, his presence is felt throughout, especially when the protagonist talks about his relationship with his father.

Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadhan Delivers Strong Performances

The film features a host of characters, but what makes Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadhan work is the light-hearted feeling inherent in the character of Dileep, developed further through the prosthetics.

Though the story revolves around Keshu, played by Dileep, who listens to his heart, it’s not your conventional love story. The film deals with what happens when someone dares to go against society’s norms.

If you ignore some hiccups and glitches in the script, which are usually there in Dileep’s films, this one is worth watching for its freshness and excellent performances by the cast.

The film deals with how these characters deal with each other in a very humorous manner, and the situations are pretty outlandish. But what indeed works for the movie that revolves around Keshu and his bizarre antics is the onomatopoeic body language and mannerisms he wears like a second skin.

Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadhan Shows the Ease of Acting in a Comic Movie

As the title suggests, Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadu (roughly translated as The Funny Quirks of Keshu) revolves around a character called Keshu, who Dileep portrays. The movie is centred on the life and career of the protagonist.

The film has a few moments of slapstick humour, but it is never over the top. The director has thrown in some genuinely funny situations, which are well exploited by the actor’s comic timing and mannerisms.

Dileep doesn’t try to outdo his previous comedies with his trademark brand of slapstick humour, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any laughs. It’s more on account of some clever lines and Dileep’s comic timing.

The best part about the movie is that there are no villains around in the story. The only conflict in the film is between its two protagonists.

Stream It or Skip It?

From the moment Keshu Ee Veedinte Nadhan begins, it’s apparent that there’s a lot of potential in this film. The first half has a fairytale-like quality to it, and you can sense that the writer has tried to capture it on screen. Unfortunately, despite what seems like a promising start, the film fizzles out towards the end.

The first half of the film moves at a good pace with some hilarious sequences. There are plenty of twists and turns amidst all the fun which keep you engaged. The second half is where things get a little weak.
