WandaVision

From platforms like IMDb to all the viewers across the world, the first television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, WandaVision charmed us, thrilled us and left us all emotional by the end. Produced by Marvel Studios, the show takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame showing us the story behind the transformation of Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff into the iconic Scarlett Witch. Scenes from a Marriage

Developed, written and directed by Hagai Levi, Scenes from a Marriage is the remake of the 1973 Swedish miniseries by Ingmar Bergman of the same name. This heartbreakingly good series stars Oscar Issac and Jessica Chastain in the lead roles chronicling the struggle of married life. The HBO series is uniquely shot and intimate in its storytelling with a total number of five episodes. Maid

Inspired by Stephanie Land’s memoir Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother’s Will to Survive, Netflix’s Maid is a miniseries that will surely leave you in tears. Created by Molly Smith Metzler, the series stars Margaret Qualley as Alex in a pivotal role telling the story of a young mother who escapes from the clutches of an abusive relationship and struggles to make a living for herself and her daughter. I Know This Much Is True

From the director of Blue Valentine, Derek Cianfrance’s I Know This Much Is True is based on the 1998 novel of the same name authored by Wally Lamb. The miniseries features Mark Ruffalo in two roles, identical twin brothers – Dominick and Thomas Birdsey and tells the story of the brothers’ parallel lives. Delving into topics of betrayal, sacrifice and forgiveness, the series is six episodes long and is streaming now on Disney+ Hotstar.

Nine Perfect Strangers

Created by David E. Kelley, who has also served as a developer along with John-Henry Butterworth, Nine Perfect Strangers is the adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s 2018 novel of the same name. The premise revolves are nine strangers who land up in a boutique health-and-wellness resort to heal themselves, but what they are greeted with is completely unexpected. Dopesick

The nonfiction book Dopesick: Dealers, Doctors and the Drug Company that Addicted America by Beth Macy inspired this 2021 series. It focuses on “the epicentre of America’s struggle with opioid addiction” across the States, with a special focus on the drug OxyContin. Netflix’s miniseries Clickbait is a cult classic in the making, showing the dangers of social media. The Underground Railroad

Colson Whitehead’s critically acclaimed The Underground Railroad turned into a miniseries by Barry Jenkins tells the story of the character Cora who escapes the Georgia plantation and embarks on a harrowing train trip to seek true freedom as she is being hunted by a notorious slave catcher. Emotionally moving, the series highlights the network of abolitionists, hidden routes, and safe houses that helped enslaved African-Americans escape to freedom.
