The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat, or Sekai Saikou no Ansatsusha Isekai Kizoku ni Tensei suru is an action fantasy anime based on a light novel written by Rui Tsukiyo. The anime is being directed by Tamura Masafumi, who is known for previously directing anime such as Ange Vierge and Two Car.

The anime is being animated by Studios Palette and Silver Link. Studio Palette is a new studio with barely any prior anime on their belts. In contrast, Silver Link has been in the game for more than a decade and has produced anime such as Kokoro Connect and The Great Jahy Won’t Be Defeated. The World’s Finest Assassin Episode 7 Review- Plot and Characters

If you’ve ever dabbled in Anitube or Anime Youtube, you’ve probably come across several of Joey or The Anime man‘s videos. While he doesn’t get involved in this sphere anymore, he has an extensive back catalogue with several anime reviews alongside various other videos like interviews he has done with people in the anime industry. I highly recommend you check him out, for his content is fantastic. Still, for this review, I’d like to focus on one specific video of his, His Interview With Tsukiyo Rui, the creator of The World’s Finest Assassin.

In the interview, Rui comes across as a very clever man who knows exactly what to do to make his works sell many copies and doesn’t hesitate a bit to include controversial and out-of-the-box topics. His earlier work, Redo of Healer, was a famously controversial show that he mostly created to gather shock value and notoriety so that his much better works like The World’s Finest Assassin could come to life. He succeeded, and here we are watching the series that has become the most popular and high-quality new show of the entire season.

I reference this to make everyone aware that Rui has admitted to doing these things to generate controversy. When he includes somewhat incestual tones in his shows or sexualises 13-year-olds in The World’s Finest Assassin Episode 7, you know that he probably didn’t do that because he wishes to. He did that so that the better parts of the same work get more attention for being associated with the show with cute girls that could also kick your ass. His methods work, so you can be sure that he’ll keep doing them. I, for one, have no problem with that.

The World’s Finest Assassin Episode 7 was very clever in the way it utilised Lugh’s knowledge to generate revenue and showcased his connections to Mana and Tarte very well. It is hard to write smart characters, and Rui does it very well with Lugh and his meticulous plans. There are clearly well-defined plans of where the series is headed, and the showrunner has probably had them drawn up since the inception. Having a vision is a fantastic thing, and I’m sure that The World’s Finest Assassin will do justice to whatever it chooses.

The pacing is also something to commend in The World’s Finest Assassin Episode 7. Despite taking various leaps to move forward several months in the story, the progression still feels smooth, and all the major plot points always seem to be included. It’s like the creator knows exactly what is worth watching and what isn’t and only shows us the good stuff. Oh, and Dia also made an appearance this week, and it was great to see her. The Goddess also stole the entire show with her MC skills, so there’s that.

The World’s Finest Assassin Episode 7 Review- Art and Music

It seems like every show these days must feature at least a little CG each episode for cost reasons. Thankfully, the tiny amount used in The World’s Finest Assassin Episode 7 was perfectly fine and barely differentiable from the regular animation of the show. As usual, the art quality isn’t the best, but it is perfectly fine for what it is. The action scenes look smooth enough, and the world vibrant enough. What else could one ask for?

Verdict

The World’s Finest Assassin Episode 7 displayed the show’s strength of the narrative and controversial nature. The episode was chock full of setup and fan service and was all the better for it.
