Hercules announce new DJ controller for beginners with vinyl-like motorized platters

DJ manufacturer Hercules announced the DJControl Inpulse T7 at The NAMM Show in California recently, a Serato-compatible controller with motorized ‘vinyl-like’ platters.

Set to retail at $699 (US), and targeted at beginners, the unit is now easily the cheapest DJ controller on the market to offer this feature.

The DJControl Inpulse T7 comes with Serato DJ Lite in the box (paid upgrade required for Serato DJ Pro) and also Hercules’s ‘DJUCED’ software, giving beginners a choice.

The unit is extremely light-weight and features 3-band EQ, filter knobs on each channel, 2 x ‘battle-style’ FX paddles in the middle, on-board Stems controls, 8 x performance pads per deck, and retractable feet as seen on their Inpulse 500.

Pre-orders officially start on June 21, with worldwide sales beginning on July 31, 2023. Visit the Hercules website for more information.

Best suited to: 1} DJs on a budget who want the authentic feel of mixing vinyl, 2} beginners looking for ‘something a bit different’, and 3} aspiring scratch/battle DJs.

Where to buy: When we last checked the Hercules Djcontrol Inpulse T7 was available on pre-order from Gear4Music at £650 GBP | €750 Euro | $727 USD.
