One of the best parts about playing The Elder Scrolls Online is that you can play with other people. Whether it’s killing monsters with strangers or grouping up with your friends to take on dungeons, the MMO aspect makes it an excellent game like Skyrim worth playing.

Unfortunately, The Elder Scrolls Online does not support crossplay currently. Because all of the platforms have their own servers, it would be incredibly difficult for the game to offer cross platform gaming. So if you’re on a PC trying to play with friends on the Xbox or PS5, you’re out of luck. However, Xbox users will be able to play with PS5 users with no problem.
Will ESO Ever Support Crossplay Gaming?
As of right now, Zenimax Online Studios hasn’t announced any plans to offer Crossplay between consoles and PCs. Combining servers to allow for this would be a big undertaking and isn’t likely to happen any time soon.
For some fans, the addition of cross platform could drastically impact their enjoyment of the game. Many of the singly player aspects of the game make ESO too easy and being able to play with friends between consoles and PC would allow for more challenging group fights.
