Zimran Randolph Clottey (Great Aluta)

Zimran Randolph Clottey is a well-known Ghanaian entertainment figure.
He's a screenwriter, actor, TV producer, and director.
He is also a musician, visual artist, and showbiz consultant, as well as an environmentalist, broadcaster, and musician.

Zimran Randolph Clottey was educated notably at Christ the King International School in Accra, Achimota School, and the Institute of Adult Education – W. College and the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (G.B.C.) Training School.

In the mid-1970s, Zimran Randolph Emil Kortei. Clottey was born in Accra, Ghana.
He is a Ghanaian who speaks English, Ga, and Twi/Akan and is a humanitarian based in Ghana's capital, Accra. 

He worked as the Head of Public Relations for UN Youth Ghana and as a member of the UN Youth Ghana Board of Directors.
From 2018 to 2019, he was the Director of Programs and Content at UN Youth TV.He is also the former Communications Director (Ghana Peace Awards Organization).
He worked on MUSIGA Greater Accra's (MGA) 2016 award winning best Peace song and video project as a consultant and producer director.As a co founder of Zimadiran art consult, he worked in the Vegetarian Association of Ghana as a Media Consultant and Assistant Chief Coordinator (Assistant Administrator) for the IVU (International Vegetarian Union) World Vegfest 2014, where he designed the World Vegfest 2014 logo, branding, and other paraphernalia. As a member,he was the national youth cordinator of VegGhana (the Vegetarian Association of Ghana).


Zimran Randolph Clottey is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Founder of Pacesetters Entertainments, President and Director of Pacesetters Artistes Club Ghana (PACG) the Artistes/Models subsidiary department of Pacesetters Entertainments with branches in seven (7) other regions of Ghana.

From 1996, he ran a theatre arts training program with Pacesetters Theatre Company, which he performed effectively with some local celebrities for amateur/street performers in collaboration with the Ghana Union of Theatre Societies (GUTS) and the Centre for National Culture (CNC) in Accra.
This theatre company was also active in three other Ghanaian regions: Kwadaso-Kumasi in the Ashanti region, Pedu Capecoast in the Central region (now Coastal TV), and Hohoe in the Volta region.
During which he initiated a concept ‘Strictly Show-Biz’ (SSB) and “Visa to Showbiz” - a talents development & exposition course/program for amateur or Street performing artistes, a module course adopted by Unicorn Professional Studies (UPS) and Deep focus media.


He is a former lecturer of Winfield college of Performing Arts Radio & Television and Unicorn Professional Studies (UPS) which was in kumasi.

In October 1997, Zimran Randolph Clottey became the first male continuity announcer on TV3-Ghana and hosted Ghana Television’s entertainment program ‘Popbox’ which exposed him internationally to some world chat hit makers and trips abroad.




He served as an entertainment news reporter for Ghana Television's Ashanti area (Garden City Radio/TV) and was the first to refer to the akan film business located in Kumasi as "Kusiwood" in a reporting; this moniker eventually evolved into what is now known as "Kumawood." 

He hosted the youth magazine program "Second Generation" on Ghana Television. In the late 1990s, he also worked on the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation's entertainment program "Music for You."

PJA Associates Ltd & Bentsifi’s Diary (Media, Leisure & Events) employed him in the mid- 90’s as Client Service and Editorial Assistant Soliciting Sponsorships, gathering editorials, running administrative errands, marketing adverts spaces in the publication and assisting with organizing events.

He worked with Pacesetters Entertainments as a writer on a TV Theatre narrative called "Belated Apology," a stage play called "A Lucrative Business," a TV Drama Comedy Series called "Sensible Nonsense," and a TV Series called "Great Oil City." Your Woman or ‘Your Nation' – a film, as well as advertisements, music videos, and other audio-visual promos, to name a few.

Sensible Nonsense is a hillarious debate of life choices where he stares as vanity Averkpor.

Zimran Randolph Clottey was the Art & Publicity Director of Health Africa Magazine (Africa's first multilingual vegetarian magazine), where he was a co-founder. 


He also worked with Silver Line Films' during which he was in charge of  general operations, coordinating administration, defining goals and implementation plans, preparing budgets, training Artistes, producing (organizing) sponsorship solicitation, and collecting and depositing remittance cheques. 
Preparation of'salaries and wages,' recording and evaluating, classifying and summarizing some firm 'transactions for auditor's inspection, and acting and directing some of the productions.

He worked Part time as the Public Relations Officer (P.R.O.) for Vickmens Montessori (Teshie/Nungua Greda Estates) and worked as a Contracted (Free-lance) Event Organizer for Alliance Francaise.

He worked as an actor with Farmhouse Productions on "YOLO" and with GBC on the Ultimate Paradise TV Series. He also worked as an artiste for TV3 Ghana in the ‘Chorkor Trotro' TV series, Deltrak Media in a few ‘Suncity' TV series episodes, Village Communications on the ‘Taxi-driver' TV series, Nash Advertising as an artiste in a fan milk commercial, and Spectrum Films Consult and Metro TV on the Dr. Love TV series.


He worked on the Yours-Truly TV Series with Spectrum Films Consult and TV3 Ghana, as well as a supporting role in the Dr. Love film. He worked with Nakwandus Productions on the film "Spirit of Darkness" and Venus Films on the films "An Hour Before Midnight," "Oh My Love," and "Three Beautiful Apples."
He worked on the ‘Things We Do for Love TV Series' and some commercials with AP-Lintas/Advantage Productions.

He also acted in and directed a Conservation International Climate initiative with Agoro Ciltad with kutsekuseteku bamboo orchestral.

 Zimran starred in the Silver and Gold Series of Adesa Productions Ltd (APL) and TV3, in 2019.

His experience in music ranges from working with Facets Productions as vocalist on songs for commercials or jingles like - the “Trust in the Trust bank” a Trust Bank Song, “Go tell your family” One Touch (VODAFONE) song, MTN “Go to the Limit” (an MTN-1st World Cup song) “It’s your life it’s your Choice” a family planning song just to mention a few. 

 He produced a better world music album with Running Dream Records (Canada) and co- produced and sung the first Mobile Water song for Pidgen Music Productions.
He composed radio jingles for the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation's Radio GAR, as well as sound tracks for films and television programs like the "Selina" film Oil City, "Sensible nonsense" Liberal Street Court," and "Woman of my Heart," to name a few. For Aklobessi Ventures Productions, Zimran Randolph Clottey also created a music album..


One of his notable ventures/achievements is the creation of a song titled "A Better World" dedicated to Kofi Annan, the late UN Secretary General and Nobel Peace Prize Winner, which featured several young celebrities, including the majority of the cast of the hit TV series "Things We Do For Love" from the early 2000s. In 2007/2008, the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) used the song as the National Youth Theme Song under the presidency of honurable Okudzeto Ablakwa,

He won some awards jointly with the entire cast and crew of the TV series "Things We Do for Love." He received a Healthy Lifestyle Advocacy Award from the Ghana Vegetarian Association. He also shared several trophies with the entire cast and crew of the “YOLO” TV series..

Zimran Randolph Clottey also jointly won The G.P.A. (Ghana Peace Award) Best Peace Song and Video 2016 award with twenty-two (22) Musicians of the Greater Accra MUSIGA. He featured in the song and directed the video.

The ultimate purpose of Zimran Randolph Clottey's life is to make a significant contribution to making the world a better place. He believes that this can be accomplished if at least individual efforts are made to peacefully coexist while caring for one another and the environment (Biodiversity). Surely, with a concerted effort, we can all work together to make the world a better place.
