As part of global music distribution company ONErpm’s expansion on the African continent, Nigerian music executive and marketing communications professional Nnamdi Okirike has been appointed to lead operations for ONErpm in Ghana as Project Manager.
Nnamdi Okirike has an extensive Music industry and marketing background of over 7 years of experience. He joins ONErpm following his role at music streaming service Boomplay’s Ghana-based office as Content Executive, where he led the team responsible for creating, publishing, and promoting digital media content on the Boomplay Music app. Prior to Boomplay, he held the role of Music Editor at NotJustOk, where he was responsible for covering Ghanaian music content for Nigeria’s most renowned music publication.
Nnamdi is also an experienced journalist and a contributing writer for several digital publications worldwide, sharing his in-depth knowledge of the music business in feature stories and various editorials. He has written over 100 articles covering music, entertainment, and culture for global publications like OkayAfrica and Complex. He has conducted high-profile interviews with the likes of Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Cassper Nyovest, Patoranking, Mr Eazi, Gyakie, M.anifest, Black Sherif, Killbeatz, KiDi, Kuami Eugene, Yaw Tog, Kelvyn Boy, Larry Gaaga, Wendy Shay, Vic Mensa, Chance The Rapper, and more.
Nnamdi Okirike will report directly to Osagie Osarenz, Director of African Operations at ONErpm. Osagie helped open ONErpm’s first African office in Lagos, Nigeria in 2020 and led the launch of 5 new ONErpm offices in Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Kenya, Tanzania, and South Africa in 2022.
In his new position, Nnamdi will work across marketing, distribution, and A&R, supporting ONErpm’s roster of artists in Ghana.
