Bad Bunny Responds to Mr Eazi’s Accusation of Stealing Joeboy’s Song

Puerto Rican rapper and singer Bad Bunny has finally responded to Mr Eazi’s accusation of stealing Joeboy’s song.

We extensively covered the story in an earlier article and video just moments after Mr Eazi made the accusation on social media.

In a statement submitted to Billboard, Bad Bunny’s record label Rimas Music responded to the accusations. Rimas Music claims to have bought the master track of “Empty My Pocket” which inspired Bad Bunny’s “Enséñame a Bailar.”

It turns out that record company Lakizo Entertainment, who is “listed as the track’s creator and owner in numerous public sources” is the one who sold the master of Joeboy’s song to Rimas Music. The statement continued, “We have responded to the copyright claim from emPawa Africa, but we are still waiting for Mr Eazi’s organization to establish ownership of “Empty My Pocket“.

Bad Bunny is currently at the pinnacle of his career! He climaxed in 2022 being named Apple Music’s Artist of the Year for being the most-streamed artist globally. His album “Un Verano Sin Ti” was also acknowledged as the Best Música Urbana Album at the recently held Grammy Awards.

Bad Bunny and Mr Eazi previously worked together in 2019 on “Como Un Bebé” off the former’s 2019 collaborative album “Oasis” with J Balvin. We’re hoping the two megastars work things out soon so they can return to blessing us with more Afrobeats-Latin Pop crossover bangers!
