From Purple heart emojis to high-end purple phone models, this alluring hue has seen a rise in popularity recently. A talented group of seven boys from Korea might have a lot to do with it, of course. For lovers of the hue, whether fans of K-pop or not, we’ve got color palettes and pairings you might enjoy.

So, are the purples in your home feeling a bit lonely? Don’t worry, we can make it right. Consider these colors! (ARMY, up for a game of hide-and-seek? We’ve hidden a few song titles in this blog post. See how many you can find.)

Purple and Pastels

As refreshing as a cool spring day, try this palette with bright pastel tones in sky blue, sea foam green, and purple. It’s an instant mood booster and a great palette for those who like to keep their interiors youthful and fun. Keep the theme going by having wooden elements in a light finish as well.

Let It B has several blog posts dedicated to pastels. It’s proof that they’re no longer confined to kids’ bedrooms but can also be used in spaces for grownups. If you’d like to see more rooms that feel adult and yet harness the power of pastels, head here: The Joyful Energy of Pastels.

Purple and Jewel Tones

For purples that are a little deeper, jewel tone shades are a winner. Attention-grabbing teal and dark blue sapphire pair well with eggplant purple. Have touches of yellow the color of butter here and there and you’ve got yourself a standout room. Remember, texture is always welcome. Bring in velvet, glass, wood, and a variety of other materials and fabrics.

If you have a preference for jewel tone colors, take a peek at the Bloom palette from the Boysen Color Trend 2022/23 collection as well. It includes two purple shades! Check it out: Jewel Tone Paint Colors for a Sophisticated Home.

Purple and Gold

Drab? Not today. Here’s a pairing that feels like serendipity at its finest. Purple is a color associated with royalty and power. Gold, on the other hand, is associated with luxury and prestige. Doesn’t it feel like they’re meant to be together? Exude elegance with interiors in purple and gold-like brass finishes.

It’s a favorite of designer Linda Hayslett. She told Elle Décor, “When using purple, I love pairing it with brass finishes. The gold tones that come through can really pop off of purple and make it look luxe and glam.” She added, “You can’t go wrong, as it’ll elevate the look of the space.”

Where to Get These as Paint Colors

Liked any of the colors featured in the mood boards above? You can get them as paint at your nearest Boysen Mix and Match station (list of locations here)! Just be sure to see a sample of the color in person as digital swatches can appear differently when viewed through a screen. Happy painting!
